We finally have the Yuphoria from Micromax subsidiary Yu that released on Wednesday. However, this has caused Lenovo and Xiaomi fans to be wary of a new rival on the block.
The YU Yuphoria competes with both the Lenovo A6000 Plus and the Xiaomi Redmi 2 competitively. The display does not offer much innovation and all the smartphones comes in 5 inch screen sizes and 1280×720 resolution.
The Yu model has 2 GB RAM as does the Lenovo smarty while Xiaomi loses the game with 1 GB RAM. The Redmi model also scores a duck with 8 GB onboard storage against the 16 GB we find on the Yu and Lenovo wares. Yuphoria offers a top notch shutter combo with its 8 MP main camera and 5 MP front camera while the Lenovo and Xiaomi offers 8 MP main snapper and 2 MP front snapper.
In terms of the processor, the three models are even at 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410.
Finally, we pick the Yu Yuphoria as the winner due to the Android 5.0 Lollipop against the Android 4.4.4 KitKat found on the two other models. While it will take time for Yuphoria to make a dent in Lenovo or Xiaomi’s reputation, it sure has fired up with its specs to carve a niche of its own.
