Xiaomi has emerged as one of the highest selling smartphone brand in the Indian market. The company made its debut just last year by collaborating with Flipkart. The company started India operations by launching a budget android smartphone Xiaomi Mi3 in Indian market. The rest as we all know is history since Mi3 broke all sales record and company was unable to meet the growing demand of its handsets in the Indian market.
In order to compensate for the growing demand, the company started organizing flash sales of its mobile handsets through online retailer Flipkart. Xiaomi soon followed up by launching Red MI, Mi4 and Note in the Indian market. All these products were very well received by the Indian consumers as they provided high-end specifications at an affordable price.
Over the past few months, Xiaomi has realized that India will play an important role as the research and development center and sales market. To encourage Indian customers and gaining trust has become the primary objective of the company. This is clearly evident from the fact that Xiaomi will launch a new device in the Indian market on April 23. This will also be the global launch for this device and is a clear indication that the company has got some serious plans for the Indian market and its consumers.
By launching a series of affordable mobile devices in the Indian market, Xiaomi has further strengthened its presence in the Indian mobile market. The future seems to be very promising for Xiaomi as they are planning to set a manufacturing and research unit in India.
