China-based smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is not a very recognized name in the world, but it is a huge company in its home country with a large customer base. The company created history on August 5 2014 as its Mi 3 smartphone sold out in just 2 seconds.
For the past two weeks, the company has been retailing the Mi 3 in the form of a flash sale on Flipkart, but the device has been available in limited units only.
The company conducted the third round of the sale, and the smartphone manufacturer earlier announced that it was releasing 15,000 units of the Mi 3. The device just sold off in 2 seconds, which was obvious as the company had more than 150,000 pre-registrations.
If one though 5 seconds was fast, then on Tuesday Xiaomi set a new record with the flash sale of its Mi 3 smartphone. The phone was sold out in 2 seconds. Xiaomi has been offering the Mi 3 in the form of a flash sale on Flipkart for the last two weeks, but it has been bringing in limited units.
The smartphone is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB of RAM. It has slightly upgraded specifications compared to the Sony Xperia Z2 which boasts the 2.3GHz quad-core 801 chip and 3GB of RAM. It has a 5-inch full HD display, with a 13MP rear camera, 8MP front snapper and a 3080mAh battery.
