Xiaomi has announced a new transparent edition of LUX OLED to the portfolio of smart Mi TVs.We all look out for best picture quality in our new television. But, a see-through is the ultimate beauty you can possibly buy when it comes to a TV set. The brand new Mi TV LUX OLED Transparent Edition is also one such beauty and probably the cheapest one available in the market of transparent TVs so far. Xiaomi’s first transparent TV was announced during the Chinese manufacturer’s 10th anniversary celebrations. Notably, it is also the world’s first ever mass-produced transparent TV model.

The new transparent Mi TV LUX OLED modelallows viewers on one side to see through several subjects on the other side of the TV. The new LUX OLED edition features the innovative TOLED (Transparent Organic Light-Emitting Device/transparent OLED) technology.
Furthermore, the new Xiaomi TV also places all its guts in the circular base of the TV rather than the usual positioning behind the display to further enhance its transparency. Additionally, the screen utilizes a range of transparent components. Moreover, it also avoids the backlighting component by using diodes that can emit their own light.
In terms of the usual TV specs, the new Mi TV LUX OLED transparent edition comes in a 55-inch screen size with a 5.7mm thick frame. The new transparent Mi TV runs on a custom-designed version of MIUI for TV. Moreover, its UI hasbeen further tweaked to utilize the TV’s transparent display.
It offers both refresh rate and MEMC motion interpolationof 120Hz, response time of 1ms and contrast ratio of 150,000:1. Besides itoffers10-bit color and 93 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color profile.
Furthermore, the new LUX OLED will also feature an AI Master Smart Engine image processing and custom MediaTek 9650 chip. But, it isn’t yet known on how the TV with its transparency specs will isolate objects from the background and TV graphics.But, while it beautifully adorns your living room, it isn’t the perfect pick if picture quality is a priority over the aesthetics.
The newMi TV LUX OLED edition is currently set to for an exclusive initial release in China. Moreover, talking of its pricing, it is being rendered as the cheapest transparent TV. It has been set at a launch price of RMB 49,999 (~ Rs.5,38,000). Chinese customers would be able to place their orders starting August 16, 2020.
