The launch of new music streaming service from Xbox music is confirmed. Microsoft’s Xbox 360 would make its debut in October 16, just 10 days before the launch of Windows 8, coming on October 26.
Xbox 360 would be the default music service app in Windows 8, which will give it a immediate user base when Windows 8 goes on sale on Oct 26
The service will offer the best of both Spotify and iTunes. Microsoft will offer ad-supported streaming of its 30 million track library for free, with an ad-free option for $US9.99 a month (£8.99, AUD$11.99).
Just like iTunes Microsoft has also incorporated the music download feature. The users will also get unlimited music streaming for 6 months.
Once you start paying the monthly fee, you also get offline listening, as well as access to 8 million music videos via the Xbox 360
