Sony has announced to launch some new accessories for its flagship smartphone, Xperia Z2, that will enable users to charge their handsets wirelessly. It is one of the best smartphones presently available in the market, all thanks to its waterproof feature that gained lot of attention as well as other high-end specs and features.
The new accessories include a new wireless charging cover and a new wireless charging plate for the smartphone. Both the gadgets are based on the QI charging technology, resulting in making it compatible with other QI-devices as well.
Sony has been quoted saying on a new company blog post on May 28 that “Got an Xperia Z2? Hate wires? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. We’re launching two beautifully designed products, Wireless Charging Cover WCR12 and Wireless Charging Plate WCH10 that allow you to charge your Xperia Z2 wirelessly, with minimal hassle. Designed by some of our brightest and best, these two wireless products use the latest inductive ‘Qi’ technology, allowing power to transfer from a transmission pad to a compatible receiver using electromagnetic induction.”
Sony Xperia Z2 has already been launched in several countries across Europe and the US and is scheduled to be soon commercially available in Canada and India.
The Sony Xperia Z2 is available in a screen size of 5.2 inches having a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels and good viewing angles. The smartphone has 0.32 inches of thickness and a weigh of 0.35 lbs. It runs on a 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core Krait 400 processor along with 3 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory.
The Sony Xperia Z2 is powered by Android 4.4, and is equipped with 3,200mAh battery. The smartphone also boast a 20.7MP camera with 4K recording support, and is available in black and white shades. It is also dust and water-resistant in order to provide extra durability.
