Apple made quite a successful product in the iPad Mini last year and captured many hearts. But with Samsung all set to take on the iPad Mini head on with its new Galaxy Note 8.0, will Apple be able to repeat its success with the second generation iPad Mini? Or with the recent success and advent of 5-inch smartphones like the Sony Xperia Z, would the craze for the 8-inch tablets further die down?
Apple’s expected to give the iPad Mini 2’s screen a huge makeover by including its famous Retina Display feature in it, in addition to making the device more powerful and energy efficient. But can it pull away users from the similar sized Galaxy Note 8.0, which has a powerful quad-core 1.6 GHz processor and 2 GB of RAM, in addition to its S-Pen feature?
Better yet, will Sony’s waterproof and dust-resistant Xperia Z end up being the preferred choice, with its decently sized 5-inch full HD display and quad-core 1.5 GHz processor and 2 GB of RAM and 13 MP camera?
