Amid expectations all build up for Apple’s upcoming iPad Mini to hold a better display, certain rumors indicate that Google will launch its forthcoming Nexus 7 2 with Retina Display.
Speculations indicate the screen resolution of Google Nexus 7 2 to be 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. The iPad Mini will roll out sans the Retina Display with a resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels. Clearly the display of Nexus 7 2 is going to be brighter and better.
However, Google is expected to unveil the device with a price tag in between $249 to $299 for the basic Wi-Fi variant, whereas Apple’s non-Retina iPad mini might roll out with a $329 price tag. The costing also makes the former a better choice.
Nevertheless, the lighter and thinner Apple’s device will come packed with a faster A6 processor and many iOS 6 applications. Google’s device will house a Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon 600 chip.
Running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software, some of the expected specifications in Google Nexus 7 2 might include wireless charging, an LTE option and a 5 megapixel camera at the rear.
However, we hear Apple is working on a Retina version iPad Mini, which the firm will roll out in 2014.
As for now, we feel that the inclusion of Retina Display will surely push the Nexus 7 2 into a better league as compared to non-retina iPad Mini.
