Sony has loaded its guns for a long fight now with the launch of a Sony Windows Phone. We have heard buzz that the giant is launching a Windows phone soon. And in association with Microsoft at that! Sony has affirmed that being an OS maker is not feasible to their long term business strategy. Therefore, working the OS deal out with Microsoft is only a justified step.
Leaked images of Sony Windows smartphones have already gone viral over the last months. We also sniffed news that Sony Windows phone could come with the Vaio tag. Right now, Nokia is a dominant player in the windows phone segment. With licensing fee slashing on Microsoft’s part, we do smell some desperateness to find a new partner to hike up numbers soon.
If Sony will indeed benefit from this decision, is left to be seen. As for now, we are only keen to get hands on the final Windows smartphone.
