Apple’s iPhone 6 or iPhone 5S is speculated to see the daylight next week on September 10th.
Ahead the launch of the firm’s forthcoming device; consumers are in for a treat. Reportedly, Walmart is expecting horde of buyers line up outside the store as it offers the iPhone 5 at the minimal price of $98.
The discounted iPhone 5 is available only in Walmart stores and not on the website. To avail the discount, buyers need to upgrade or sign a two-year contract with AT&T, Sprint or Verizon Wireless. The offer is not included with T-Mobile.
Launched last year in September, the iPhone 5 came out at a cost of $199.99 for the 16GB version with a contract of two years with AT&T, Sprint or T-Mobile.
Earlier in June, Walmart had slashed the device’s cost from $189.87 to $129.
Boasting a 4-inch screen, the iPhone 5 holds a resolution of 1,136 x 640 pixels at 326ppi. With an 8-megapixel rear camera, the device sports a 1.2-megapixel front camera. Holding 1GB of RAM, the iPhone 5 has no slot for microSD card.
Connectivity choices in iPhone 5 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth version 4.0 and USB version 2.0.
Apple designed the smartphone with 1,440mAh battery to offer up to 225 hours of talk time on standby and eight hours with 3G network.
However, Apple website still holds the tag of $199 for the iPhone 5.
