WhatsApp may soon allow users to log in from multiple devices. The popular messaging site is reportedly testing several new features. A few of these features were recently spotted in the app’s latest beta update. The latest update was first discovered by WABetaInfo. The new features found in the beta build included clearing chats option, an improved search function for in-chat searched, besides Whatsapp multiple devices login.
Multi-device login support can save a lot of time for users who regularly need to access WhatsApp across devices. Users can currently login from only one mobile at a time and max. on a web browser on a Mac or a PC. Users can switch devices but can be logged-in on only one device at any given time. Repeating the app’s long sign-in process can be quite frustrating for users. Hence, the Whatsapp multiple devices login will come as a relief.
WABetaInfo has shared in its tweet that the platform is currently testing the multiple device login support for up to four devices. While it is a welcome move from its current limits, most other messaging platforms such as Telegram already offer log-in support for more than four devices.
Moreover, the beta update also includes an improvement in the app’s chat search feature. WhatsApp may soon enable a search by date feature too to enable users to find specific conversations and media information within a chat more easily.
While screenshots on WABetaInfo’s tweets improved chat search feature on the iOS, WhatsApp is expected to soon roll out the feature on Android beta versions too. Furthermore, Whatsapp multiple devices login is also likely to include a new toggle feature. This will allow users to search for messages and media on the web browser.
The feature is only enabled on mobile devices for now. Additionally, WhatsApp may allow users the option to clear entire chats but keep the starred messages in its upcoming updates. Moreover, it may also introduce an enhanced Storage Usage feature. It will enable users to view how much storage the media saved from WhatsApp has occupied on their smartphones.
Additionally, WABetaInfo also reports that WhatsApp may offer a support feature for ShareChat video soon. It would allow users to view videos hosted on ShareChat within the application.
