Sony will be revealing some of the major titles that will be available in its upcoming PlayStation 5 console. The gaming console itself is likely to be unveiled later this year during the Holiday Season. But, users can expect several intriguing next-gen games and launch titles at today’s event. Some of the rumoured titles that the gamers are hoping for include a new Ratchet & Clank, Gran Turismo 7, Horizon: Zero Dawn sequel, Resident Evil 8, and a new Silent Hill game.

Notably, the gaming giant is expected to announce a good mix of both its own Sony-published titles as well as some popular third-party titles for PS5. A possible remake from Bluepoint is rendered to be one of the most likely games to be unveiled at the PS5 launch event. Notably, Bluepoint Games Inc. was also behind the hit 2018’s Shadow of the Colossus remake.

Additionally, Colin Moriarty of Sacred Symbols has claimed that the new Ratchet & Clank game from Insomniac Games will come as a PS5 launch title. Horizon: Zero Dawn 2 is yet another game that is highly rumoured but hasn’t yet been confirmed by the company.  Furthermore, Square Enix may reveal Outriders as well as any of its new next-gen games. While Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is tied up to Xbox, Ubisoft may come up with its next-gen games such as Gods & Monsters and Watch Dogs Legion.

It is expected that the PS5 will dominate the gaming consoles once again and will present a plethora of game series, including Gran Turismo, Call of Duty, Resident Evil, and also offer gamers access to Final Fantasy, Starfield, Spider-Man, and Batman.

There’s also a huge possibility that the PS5 may not be what we are expecting. John Kodera once hinted, “We need to depart from the traditional way of looking at the console life cycle. We’re no longer in a time when you can think just about the console or just about the network like they’re two different things.”

Do we get a preview?

Sony may give a quick glimpse of the PS5 console later today. However, it is highly unlikely that the company would yet reveal its pricing for the newest addition.  Ace Research Institute’s analyst Hideki Yasuda predicts that the PS5 will indeed release in November of 2020 for a price of $499.
