To be released sometime in 2014, the launch of iPhone 5c means that we are not going to see the iPhone 6 any time soon. The iPad Air and iPad Mini were expected to launch in October 2013. However, the delay in launch has meant that iPhone 6 is not going to be out soon. So to give a tentative iPhone 6 release date is difficult.

However, what we do know is that the iPhone 6 is likely to have a bigger screen than the iPhone 5S. This is possibly an attempt to fight with the Android models such as HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4, which have larger screens. It’s being anticipated that the iPhone 6 will have a 5 inch screen. If it does go up to that, it’s being touted that the phone will have an HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, according to a Japanese magazine.

Industry insiders also believe that this phone is not going to be a replacement for the iPhone 5S. Instead, it will be a part of the Apple lineup that would also include the iPad Air and iPad Mini. Is this going to be a phablet, one wonders.
