Ubuntu lovers in India can now rejoice as BQ has announced its plans to launch two new Ubuntu smartphones soon. The Spanish device maker on Thursday announced that they are all set to launch Aquaris E5 and Aquaris E4.5 in the Indian market via Snapdeal, a popular e-commerce portal.

In its statement, the company stated that they have observed the growing demand for Ubuntu smartphones in the Indian market and decided to launch two new handsets. India has provided a great market for their PC business and they expect to get the same response for their smartphones.
To ensure a warm response from users, the company has also priced the devices quite reasonably. While Aquaris E4.5 is reported to be priced Rs. 11,999, the other model Aquaris E5 is priced at around Rs. 13, 999.
The Aquaris E4.5 boasts an 8MP rear camera along with 5MP front-camera. It also has 8GB storage, 1GB RAM and MediaTek Quad Core Cortex A7 processor. On the other hand, the Aquaris E5 boasts of a 5-inch display HD screen with 720×1280 pixels of resolution. It also comes with 5MP front-camera but the rear-camera is even better with 13MP quality.
Both the phones support dual SIM features and have received great response in the United States.
