One of the most diligent gaming developers, Ubisoft has been investigating new scenarios for its upcoming version of Assassin’s Creed franchise. In this regard, Jean Guesdon, the creative director for the Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag venture has mentioned to VG247 that they are contemplating a Fuedal Japan setting or even a venture into the Middle East as well.
Terming the entire ‘human history’ as their ‘playground’, Guesdon mentions that Assassin’s Creed 5 could consider ‘Feudal Japan – like numerous time periods and locations – a possible future setting’. However, he kept the options open and added further that the game could even feature different locations as well.
Fans are even rooting for locations such as Egypt, China, among other sites. Assassin’s Creed 4 features the Caribbean in the 18th century, a takeoff from AC 3 featuring the naval technology. Ubisoft has considered gamer reviews very seriously and improved their game content from time-to-time according to the responses received in various forums.
Samurai blades, Pole-arm and Kama could be some new additions to the weaponry and of course, the protagonist could be expected to have some of the exclusive Chinese martial arts tactics in the game play. However, a majority of the gamers are also rooting for China. Well, one could hope that they do initiate a trip down the Eastern lanes. It does make up for interesting gaming and knowing Ubisoft’s track record the storylines are expected to hold up to the game play.
