As the world gets set to welcome Samsung Galaxy S5, a new report suggests that the company will release this device in two variants. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to release on February 24 at Barcelona. Samsung has also confirmed that they will be hosting an UnPacked 5 event to coincide with the Mobile World Congress 2014.
Samsung’s move to launch two variants of the same phone replicates Apple’s launch of the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s. They are possibly aiming to get a market share of two different price categories. It’s also being suggested that the difference between the two Samsung S5 models will be a plastic make and a metal body.
The report also suggests that the SM-G900R4 model is likely to boast .5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974AC) processor, QHD display (1440×2560) and 32GB inbuilt storage along with Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB RAM. It would also snap in a 16 megapixel rear camera and a 2.1 mega pixel front facing camera. The phone would be running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. It would score 31,843 on the AnTuTu benchmark.
The SM-G900H Galaxy S5 could come with an identical camera sensor as well as software as similar to the previous model. It comes with a .5GHz Samsung Exynos 5422 processor, a full-HD display, ARM Mali-T628 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16 GB storage.
