Known for its best-in-class smartwatch performance, OnePlus is planning to launch not one by two smartwatches in India soon. The launch has been in the pipeline ever since the company announced its first-ever fitness tracker – OnePlus Band, earlier this month.
As spotted by tipster Mukul, two OnePlus smartwatches bearing model numbers W301GB and W510GB have received the BIS certification and their launch could be right around the corner. As per the BIS listing, one of the smartwatches is listed with model number W301GB and the same fitness tracker was even spotted in Singapore’s IMDA certification 2020. The second smartwatch is listed with a model number W501GB, and according to the Technave report, this one could be OnePlus Watch RX which is has been seen in the OnePlus Health app with a circular dial. OnePlus Watch is said to run on WearOSor might come with a customised skin on top of OxygenOS alongside WearOS.
Some watch faces for the OnePlus Watch models have also surfaced on the APK file. The leaked OnePlus watch images indicate toward a dedicated dark theme as well as an AMOLED display for the upcoming smartwatches.The latest OnePlus smartwatches are expected to look similar to the OPPO Watch and Watch RX. The smartwatches are expected to run on Google Wear OS and there could well be a CyberPunk 2077 Edition smartwatch as well, similar to the OnePlus 8T CyberPunk 2077 Edition. Although it is unsure still not confirmed as the video game has been in deep water after the release.
There are several rumours about the upcoming OnePlus smartwatch, however the company has not released any official statement yet. OnePlus, as a brand, loves to create a hype before release pof any new product. We may see OnePlus watch launching alongside the OnePlus 9 series as it is said to be in the in final stages of testing. Guess we all will have to wait for the brand to announce the OnePlus smartwatch launch news and divulge some features.
