1) Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus

iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are the same except for their size, battery capacity and optical image stabilization. The phone is unique indeed owing to its elegant hardware design and its impeccable app store feature. The camera too is unbeatable in terms of usability and quality. However, Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus continue to remain the most expensive of the lot with price ranging from $649 to $949.

A waterproof phone, the Sony Xperia Z3 offers users a better Google experience. The phone comes with a 2.5 GHz processor, 32 GB of integrated storage and a 20.7 megapixel camera. Other noticeable features include a micro SD expansion card slot and a 5.2 inch display with resolution of 1920 x 1080.

3) Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Samsung has given over its instinct of using the plastic frame and this propelled its fortunes as technology experts included the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in the top 5 phones of 2014. Additionally, the phone is powered by Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor and comes with 3 GB of RAM.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 features a 16 megapixel camera and for the selfie crazy lot, the phone has a 3.7 megapixel front facing camera.

4) Google Nexus 6

Google Nexus 6 sold out within the first few minutes of listing in the online market. However, it is now back and the world has got to know better about its features. The smartphone has a larger 5.92-inch resolution display and has a Snapdragon 805 processor. The phone has a 20 megapixel camera and comes with a Qi wireless charging and is water resistant.

5) LG G3

A removable battery, options in micro SD card slot, innovative rear button design and a futuristic camera are some of the features that set aside LG G3 from others in the league. The phone has a 5.5-inch display and has managed to make a niche for itself among the top phones for 2014.
