Electronic Arts, owned by PopCap Games and more commonly known as EA, has made some of the most popular games of the decade. And it is now trying its hand at Plants vs Zombies 2 .It is busy with PopCap, the developers of the franchise, to make Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare – a tower defence and third person shooter game. Initially announced for the X-Box 360 and X-Box Live consoles reports state that it will now be available for PCs as well.
EA Labels President, Frank Gibeau, says that it was an EA development team that first came up with a little prototype with some nifty gameplay mechanics. This was then showed to PopCap, who received it so well that the EA team actually went over and started developing the game. Gibeau has also let us know that fans can expect a certain amount of crossover from the second game in the franchise, Plants Vs Zombies 2 – It’s About Time. So while we’ll still have our favourites like the Pea-shooter and Disco Zombie, expect new plants like Bonk Choy and also some setting and gameplay quirks from the second instalment.
Reports state that the game will have four main characters, each with different primary skills and attributes. It will also have fully fledged multiplayer modes – co-op play and online multiplayer with up to twenty-four players!
This is completely unexpected, but the Plants vs Zombies universe is so loved by gamers that it’s guaranteed that Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare – a tower defence and third person shooter, will be well received by fans.
