Cheaper Sony Phones Launched: Xperia E1/Xperia T2 Price, Release Date Remains Unknown

Phones companies are increasingly focusing on enhancing their line up of cheap phones, especially since the launch of Nokia’s Lumia range and Samsung’s Duos range. A frontrunner in this race currently is technology giant Sony. Following CES 2014, we saw the launch of Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia E1. However, these phones will not be seen in the US any time soon. Both these models come in single SIM and dual-SIM variants.

The Xperia E1 comes in a middle range of smartphones. This is an Android-based phone that comes with a 4-inch screen and a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor. While, these Xperia E1 features are relatively modest, it comes with a built in 100dB speaker. At the same time, one gets 30 days free access to music. Clearly, this one is for music lovers such as college goers.

The Xperia T2 Ultra phablet was also revealed alongside. A company statement mentions that this phablet has been created for emerging markets such as China, Middle East, Africa and the Asia Pacific. This one uses the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. It has a fantastic 6-inch HD TRILUMINOS display.
