The Sony PS4 still retains its leading position in the gaming industry. The Sony PS4 is known for exceptional gaming performance, proves to be value for money and also features an enhanced PlayStation Plus apart from DualShock 4 controller. The Sony PS4 is a big leap in the graphical department from the Sony PS3. The Sony PS4 also supports PS VITA Remote Play over the traditional WiFi.
The Microsoft Xbox One effortlessly integrates live TV in an interesting and innovative way and is also engineered for controlling your satellite or cable box, receiver as well the TC. Most of the games available come with distinctly enhanced graphics as those seen on the Xbox 360. The Microsoft Xbox One has a faintly better roster of some exclusively available launch games as compared to Sony’s PS4s.
The Xbox One does not restrict itself to gaming alone. With its ambitious and futuristic live TV integration, it has certainly created a stir in the gaming industry. However, it does not seem to be beating its arch rival Sony PS4 owing to an higher price tag as well as unbalanced voice control.
There have been many complaints about the recent batch of Xbox One having been manufactured with broken disk Drives. The drives apparently can’t seem to recognize things like DVD’s, Blu-Rays and even game discs. This concern came around Christmas time when many buyers had opened their Xbox One only to discover that all the discs were either broken or faulty.
This problem has become a concern for many buyers as the complaints have started after a long time and Microsoft has devised a solution in which they will replace all broken discs. It seems that this solution may not be the best one as a certain clause holds a certain surprise.
This clause states that customers, who are looking to replace their console, will get one that is completely refurbished. This is because this clause enables the repairs to be done using refurbished parts or a completely refurbished unit.
According to a case related to these broken Xbox One incident as brought forward by WCCF, a customer had returned his Xbox One to the store after he complained that it was faulty and had received a replacement with scratches on it. When he had contacted customer care, he was told that all Xbox Ones with broken discs were being returned to the manufacturers. … Read the rest
Sony PS4 and Microsoft Xbox One are out in the market. The gaming consoles have broken the much vaunted next gen console gaming. However, the question remains the same: which one of the two are you planning to buy this season?
PS4 is a slick small console, but it is not releasing enough outstanding software to justify the launch. You have four games that can’t be played anywhere else. And out of the 4, only worth is playing. Even a modest appraisal doesn’t allow you to spell $400+ value of gaming exhilaration.
Xbox One has more enhanced and enjoyable bench of software, but you’ll get exhausted by it pretty quickly. Another thing is that the rules of entertainment world function displays some great promises but doesn’t perform them. On top of that, there are some hardware issues, screwy HDMI ports, ill-functioning disc drives for Xbox One.
The most important thing to remember is that both the gaming consoles have nowhere to go but ahead. Right now, both the companies are avoiding the release of their top-flight exclusives. Thus, the hard-core gamers want to grab them whether they could possibly do anything innovative with the consoles or not.
However, the responses for Xbox are a little more positive with favourable comment on the Dual Shock 4 controller and rhetoric of Sony’s pro-gamer. Though the exclusives of both the games disappoint, yet gamers wish to own both of these. Both PS4 and Xbox One have sold more than 1 million units already and there are more PS4s to release internationally all through the December. In the past it was quite difficult to compare between two game consoles because of the completely different built. However, comparing bandwidth, clock speed and FLOPS can be done. But it is different with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, things are different. With regard to the costly customised chips, Sony and Microsoft have chosen to command semi-customised GPU/CPU from the same base of architecture that AMD is presently selling in computers.
The CPU comes with 5 billion transistors, 47Mbtes of storage on chip, 28Nm TSMC HP and power island and clock to 2.5% of the aggregate power. Both the PS$ and Xbox One processor make use of the similar number of computing cores and similar AMD Jaguar built. However, the real difference lies in the clock speed. Whilst the Xbox One Processor was given a recent raise to 1.75Ghz, Sony hasn’t stated any CPU speed figure. However, Xbox One offers a slight edge over PS4. Jaguar is not the fastest AMD processor architecture- it was designed for low power systems such as tablets.
In simple words, with the given size of box and chip, the consoles can do small jobs at one go and thus it made sense for both the console designers to opt for more cores instead of choosing faster ones.
Microsoft has MHz and Sony features more Hardware
When it comes to GPU, the two consoles differ a lot. But, they share similar architecture AMD Sea Islands and GPUs Radeon 7000 and 8000 series. While the GPU of Xbox One runs at 853MHz, for PS4 is runs at 800MHz.
The GPU of PS4 has more hardware in it – 12CU in the Xbox One and 18 CU of AMD.

Its the battle of the console kings: The Xbox one and PS4. Both have created a rage in the market, and with over 75 million units sold all over the world, it is quite tough to decide which one is better of the two. Here is a comparison to help you come up with the correct decision:
DESIGN: Design wise, both the consoles are way different. Xbox one is larger in size, while Sony Play Station 4 is slimmer and light weight.
Xbox one is 10% bigger than Xbox 360. It weighs slightly higher, at 3kg, compared to PS4 at 2.8kg. The extra size in Xbox One is perhaps due to the concerns of overheating found in its predecessor. There’s inclusion of an extra case for cooling purposes.
Obviously, it is a matter of personal preference, but the Xbox One fits better under your television as compared to Sony PS4.
POWER and GRAPHICS:
Both pack the octa core AMD x86 CPUs and with 8GB of RAM, expect powerful game experience. What separates the two consoles, is the type of RAM packed. Type of RAM in Xbox One is DDR3 variety and that in PS4 is GDDR5. PS4 has slightly more bandwidth that Xbox One that implies the former has a visual edge over the latter.
That said, two features of Xbox One that make it worth buying are:
Controller: Gaming controller in Xbox One is more comfortable and also versatile. It can be used to play games on PCs as well. It may not look so power packed on the outside, but on the inside, the story is totally different. Ask hundreds of core gamers and you will find out for yourself.
Versatility: Xbox One works as a gaming console, movie player, Browser, TV and a streaming gadget too. Who knows, it may be the one to which all others can plug in, until the Xbox one eventually becomes a replacement. If you are looking for an all-in-one device, Xbox One is definitely the right console.
Possibility of Crossplay between PS3 and PS4:
PS3 and PS4 users can play games together online, though it is down to the choice of developers. Sony also announced its first headset, “Turtle Beach Ear Force PX4” that is compatible with PS4 console. What’s great is, users can choose the headset for almost all compatible devices, not just the console.… Read the rest
