Customers are eagerly awaiting the Samsung S5 and are benchmarking the device against other Android smart phones that are also expected some time in April such as the LG G2 and the Google Nexus 5.
While the Nexus 5 has a snazzy looking design in red matte, white and black plastic, it does not have the features of the Samsung S5. The Galaxy S5 is an upgraded version of the S4 and has a perforated, poly carbonate design.
The Nexus 5 also lacks the IP67 certification meaning that the Samsung Galaxy S5 is both dusts proof and water resistant.
The LG G2 has a button layout on the back and the 8 MP camera of the Google Nexus 5 isn’t quite up to the mark even with the optical Image Stabilization feature. The Samsung Galaxy S5 camera outshines that of the LG G2 and the Nexus 5 as it features 16 MP, stabilization, optical image, ISO CELL technology and auto focus features.
The LG G2 camera isn’t all that bad as it features 13 MP, optical image, stabilization and sapphire glass covers; the LG G2 and the Nexus 5 even lack a micro SD slot currently offering only the 16 GB and the 32 GB variants. … Read the rest

Samsung Galaxy S5 is receiving quite a bit of praise, of course much more than what its predecessor Samsung Galaxy S4 earned. However it is not just Samsung Galaxy S5 being counted as the most powerful phones of its generation to come up, the Sony Xperia Z2 is there as a mighty contender, considering the similar features both of these models seemingly share.
First to notice is the screen size where Samsung Galaxy S5 has got a 5.1-inch screen with 1920×1080 resolution and Sony Xperia Z2 is featuring a bit larger 5.2-inch screen, having the same resolution of S5. For the onlookers, S5’s AMOLED seems to be more brilliant in terms of contrast, color and viewing angles. However, Xperia Z2’s is not so far behind with their Live Color LED offering better backlight as well as deeper colors.
Coming to performance, it can been seen that Sony Xperia Z2 is falling a bit short to the Galaxy S5 with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 2.3 GHz quad-core. S5 boasts of the Snapdragon 805 2.5GHz quad-core, which seems to be a bit more faster. However Z2 features a 3GB RAM and for S5 it is 2GB.
Next, the camera of Xperia Z2 is 20.7 MP whereas S5 features only a 16-megapixel rear camera; however, both deemed to be capable of offering clear and sharp snaps. Altogether, there a bit more wait left for the critics to see whether Samsung S5, with its brand value and user acceptance, will take away the Xperia Thunder or not?
