Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Releases In Black–Russian Rumor Points To Revamped Entry

Samsung-Galaxy-S4

Samsung plans to launch a black edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini that could feature a back cover. The latter might be made from faux leather in jet black. This reminds us of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Prior to such possibility, the  S4 Mini smartphones were only available in the White Frost and Black Mist versions.

The new variant was listed on the Russian Samsung website and did not have any price or product specifications. There could be a global launch soon while the Russian price stands at 23,000 roubles for the Galaxy S4 and 16,000 roubles for the Galaxy S4 Mini.

The redesigned phone with a back panel will reduce fingerprints and enhance the grip. However, the sad part is that the rest of the specifications–both internal and external—will see no changes.

Meanwhile, as the Samsung S4 Mini gets a new revamped look, we are eagerly awaiting the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S5 beefed up with a QHD display and fingerprint scanner.… Read the rest

iPhone 5s Vs Samsung Galaxy S4 Vs LG G2 Vs Nokia Lumia 1020 Vs Sony Xperia Z1 Vs HTC One: The Big 2013 War of Flagships

Samsung-Galaxy-S4The year 2013 was marked with the release of flagship devices. But out of all, which one did you like the most?

Amongst HTC One, Xperia Z1, Lumia 1020, LG G2 and iPhone 5s, iPhone 5s is the lightest, sleekest and smallest one with a dimension of 123.8mm x 58.6mm x 7.6mm and weighs 112gm, while Xperia Z1 is the largest and most weighted with a dimension of 144mmx 74mm x 8.5mm and weighs 170gm. The rest have the following weight, GS4 weighs 130gm, G2 weighs 143gm, Lumia 1020 weighs 158gm and HTC One weighs 143gm.

Ergonomically, iPhone 5s is the winner. It is the best in grip and you can use it with one hand. But aesthetically, Xperia Z1 and HTC One are at one position. G2 and Lumia 1020 capture your hearts with their looks.

So, who is supreme in the beauty department depends on your preference.

 Screen and Display

While G2 comes with 5.2 inches screen, HTC One features 469ppi and wins in terms of display

 Performance

Leaving iPhone 5s and Lumia 1020 that run on dual core CPU, all the others are compacted with quad core CPU.

Lumia 1020 runs on Windows Phone 8 and iPhone 5s run on iOS 7. The Android phones run on well evaluated OS of Android Jelly Bean. The iPhone 5s iOS is easy to use with simpler interface. It allows multi-tasking and you can move from app to the other by double clicking.

For those who need a basic phone, Lumia 1020 is a great option. But for hard core users, Android powered phones suit well.

What’s Likely to Be the Price and Specifications of iPhone 6?

Indeed, the craze for big-screen phones has taken the smartphone industry by storm.

Keeping this is mind, there are strong rumors that Apple will come up with a 4.8-inch display screen for the iPhone 6. If this is true, then the new iPhone will compete with HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 in the screen size department.

What to expect in iPhone 6?

Needless to say, a bigger screen would consume more power so Apple would focus to better the technology that increases battery life. For this, the developers could come up with gaze detection technology. Here, the phone would detect when you look at the screen and when you don’t to manage screen lighting.

Another much anticipated spec for the iPhone 6 would iOS 7. For beginners, the icons and the interface in the iOS 7 have been redesigned completely and have a ‘flatter’ look. Indeed, it appears quite modish. A battery of exciting features like Control Center , Today view and AirDrop grace the iOS 7.

If Apple does away with the 16GB model, then the iPhone 6 32 GB will likely be priced at £529, while the 64 GB model will carry a price tag of £599 an the 128 GB to be priced at £699.… Read the rest

Totally Crushing On Samsung Galaxy S5 Vs Apple iPhone 6, Octa Core Processor, Bendable Dispaly, 2GB RAM

Samsung has been doing extremely well in the smartphone segment and has in fact it has become the largest seller of all phones. But the Samsung Galaxy S4, which started off as being a high seller soon fell flat. It hasn’t been able to hit sales numbers like the previous Galaxy S3 or even the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note 2. Meanwhile the iPhone 5 has become the best selling iPhone ever. With the new iPhone 5S and the iPhone 6 expected to be released soon it certainly looks like Apple is gearing up to take back some of its lost market momentum. But Samsung will not stand by and just let this happen, latest analyst reports indicate that Samsung might in fact pre-pone the release of the Galaxy S5 to tackle its competition.

Samsung has always given Galaxy S phones the best of specification. So it is likely that the new Galaxy S5 will have an octa core processor, some even think that a 16 core processor is likely. Like the iPhone 6 the Galaxy S5 is expected to have 2GB of RAM. One of the biggest gripes that people have had about the Galaxy S4 was that it was just too similar looking to the Galaxy S3. To that end expect the Galaxy S5 to opt for some new form features – most analysts expect the phone to have a carbon fibre body. And this last point will be its biggest plus in the battle against the iPhone 6. Undoubtedly the iPhones have always been some of the best looking smartphones out there and if Samsung decides to make the Galaxy S5 better looking than the Galaxy S4, they might just be able to turn the table on the iPhone 6.… Read the rest
