Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Vs Apple iPhone 5S: Samsung All Set Rain on Apple’s Parade?

If the latest rumors are to be believed, looks like Samsung’s all set to rain on Apple’s parade. According to the latest we’ve heard, the Galaxy Note 3 is expected to release during the IFA consumer electronics event to be held in September, around the same time as the iPhone 5S, possibly to steal some of the latter’s thunder.

Now Apple’s taking its own sweet time in coming up with an iPhone 5S that could rival the Galaxy S4, but this is only going to make things harder for the company. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 is a hugely anticipated device, given how successful its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 2, has been in the market.

The Galaxy Note 3 could have a 5.99-inch SAMOLED full HD display and is expected to be powered by Samsung’s very own 8-core Exynos 5 processor and 3 GB of RAM. In addition, the device could be fitted with a 13 MP rear camera and even have a flexible and unbreakable screen.

Can Apple’s iPhone 5S take on two formidable opponents from Samsung at the same time? For Apple’s sake, let’s hope so!

In just a few days, we’ll see Nokia launching its new flagship smartphone, the Lumia 928. But, can it hold its own against the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 that is due to come out later this year?

The Nokia Lumia 928 surely will win in the looks department with its all metal sleek body. The phone is expected to have a 4.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1280X768 pixels, could be powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor and 1 GB of RAM, and have 16 GB of internal storage space. Nokia is also expected to fit in an 8.7 MP camera in the Lumia 928, as well as a 2,000 mAh non-removable battery. The specs sound good enough to run Windows Phone 8 quite smoothly.

The Galaxy Note 3, on the other hand, goes big on screen size and power. With a massive 5.99-inch full HD display, an Exynos 5 processor and 3 GB of RAM, its rumored specs make this quite a powerful phablet. It is also expected to have a 13 MP camera and of course the popular S Pen would also be available with the device. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Vs Samsung Galaxy Note 2: More Powerful than We Thought

While we wait eagerly for Samsung to unveil its new Galaxy Note 3 phablet, we’ve been keeping ourselves busy speculating what we could expect in this device. We earlier thought it would come with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, but there’s still no word from Google on when the new OS would be launched.

According to the most recent rumors we’ve heard, the Galaxy Note 3 could be powered by the Samsung Exynos 5 octa-core processor and could have 3 GB of RAM. There could be at least a 13 MP rear camera, like the Galaxy S4, and a Mali 450 GPU. Given just how successful the Galaxy Note 2 has been in the market, we know for sure that Samsung will have to work extra hard with its successor.

For those of you dying to get your hands on the device, we’re guessing your prayers will be answered by sometime in August or September this year. Like the Galaxy Note 2 last year, this phablet could also be launched at the IFA in Berlin this year.

In terms of screen size, we’re hoping that the Galaxy Note 3 could be fitted with either a 5.99-inch screen or a 6.3-inch one. It could run on Android 4.2.2, unless Google launches the Android 5.0 before that.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Vs LG Optimus G2: The Race to Break The Norm With Unbreakable Screens

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has been hogging headlines for a while now, even though we’ve received no official word on its launch from Samsung itself. And the latest rumor involves Samsung putting in an innovative plastic screen on the device which could make it flexible and unbreakable.

Samsung’s taking on Apple in innovation and looks like there’s no stopping the Korean tech major. But there’s also a possibility that its rival LG could beat it at its own game by introducing the Optimus G2 with a similar technology screen.

The competition between LG and Samsung is all set to heat up on the heels of this rumor, especially after the launch of the respective Optimus G Pro and Galaxy S4 flagship devices. Of course, like we said above, at this stage, it’s all rumors and we don’t really know if it would be feasible for either of the companies to implement the unbreakable screen technology.

But in the case of Samsung, it could end up making a few units of the Galaxy Note 3 with this screen like in the case of the Exynos 5 powered Galaxy S4. However, a huge drawback we’re anticipating in such a device is the lack of full HD resolution. The LG Optimus G2 is expected to release sometime during Q3 of 2013, wonder if Samsung will bring out the Galaxy Note 3 before that.… Read the rest

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Vs Samsung Galaxy Note 2: Is Note 3 The Samsung Lover’s Diet?

It is tough to pinpoint Samsung’s strategy in going big this season. While the world considers slim as eye-candy, Samsung has changed the dimension of sexy by going really wide on a slim body. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 could exemplify what we mean.

I call it a fab-let—oops – a fab Phablet.  Just some time back, I was lost in dreams of the Samsung Galaxy S4 knocking at my door. And now I have gone on to dream of another Samsung Knight—the Galaxy Note 3—this time it is in shining armour indeed.

While I though the Samsung  Galaxy Note 2 had caught on some rust, I found two good reasons why my relationship with it can still go strong —despite the Note 3 tempting me to betray my erstwhile partner.

Why would I abandon a partner how has stuck to my fingers as honey does to bees? Given that Samsung is packing in punches with new devices often, there just might rise the possibility of letting me down with the Galaxy Note 2. Remember how Apple mashed its pies with jet-paced releases?

No matter how addicted I am to Samsung, spending the moolah makes me think twice. The Galaxy Note 3 will be super-seductive, super-gorgeous and super-pricey. Period. Why would break my bank when I could get a lesser price with a longer wait?

Sounds convincing enough to stick to my Note2? I wonder, I muse…..… Read the rest

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Is Set To Pack A Punch With All Metal Body, Samsung Galaxy S4 And HTC One May Wither With Its Bloom

As we all get more and more eager by the day to get our hands on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, but we’ve just heard some rumors that have made us even more excited to get a sneak peek into this device. If these rumors are true, then Samsung’s planning to put an all-metal body on the Galaxy Note 3 instead of its regular plastic body.

SamMobile’s recent reports suggest that Samsung’s taken the flak it received for its most recent launch, the Galaxy S4, for its plastic body. It’s also worried about the positive response its competitor HTC One has received for its good looks, and so is planning a much more premium looking design for its upcoming Galaxy Note 3.

The reports also talk about how the Galaxy S4 with a metal body was more popular, but Samsung decided to go with the plastic design since it was easier to mass produce the phone. Along with the metal body, the Galaxy Note 3 is expected to have a 6-inch full HD screen, maybe even run on Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, and would be powered by an 8-core Exynos 5 processor and have a 13 MP camera.… Read the rest

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Vs Samsung Galaxy Mega—On Restricted Ground, For Limited Territory

Samsung simply cannot take things easy. Leave aside wars with competitors; Samsung seems to challenge itself with each new launch. With two hotshot devices due for launch soon the Galaxy is bound to get starrier. The stars this time are christened Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Mega.

The best part about these devices is the massive screens. May might bring in the Galaxy Mega pumped with LTE and without it. The Galaxy Note 3 could debut at the IFA this year. Before we get to touch them up close, here is a faceoff between the two.

Power to the Galaxy stars- The Galaxy Note 3 will come with the Exynos 5 octa-core processor. The Mega has a 1.7GHz dual-core processor. Just as the line is simply put, so are the marks on this count into Note 3’s kitty.

When the entrails are so strong, why would the body not be as sexy? Samsung Galaxy Note 3 would be 84.9 x 161.9 x 8.9 mm while the Galaxy Mega would come in dimensions of 88 x 167.6-x7.9 mm. The slimmer, the sexier they say—the Mega takes away the cake here.

As for the screen, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected boast of an OLED screen backed by1920 x 1080 pixels resolution coupled with 350 ppi. Samsung Galaxy Mega will come with PLS HD resolution as part of the display. Now, one reason why we pass over the cake to the Galaxy Note 3 is the “Youm” flexible spec for display and seductive Eye Scroll and Pause.

Until now, the cake from my end justifiably goes to the Galaxy Note 3– only till we drag the face off further. On the three-layered base, the Galaxy Note 3 edges past the Galaxy Mega.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Rings A Melody—Gongs A Rhythm That Harks Back to Samsung Grand

Samsung is binding books too tight and pages too close. With its smartphones selling like hot cakes, users are still lost in the Galaxy cocktails. With Samsung Galaxy S lineup, Note series and more, Samsung is brewing soup that is slated to get spicy and hotter! We have first hand insight into what Samsung Galaxy Note 3 could look like. Catch it if you can.

The youngest sibling from the Note line of kids from Samsung family shall be 5.9 inch wide. Reminds me of Samsung Galaxy Grand but might be way better– with a fiery 800 quad core 2.3 GHz processor. Spunk this up with 128 GB ROM and 3GB RAM, the Lime Pie fed Galaxy Note 2 spits fire that caresses users with its addictive heat.

Oh, before we forget, this rendition of the Note shall come loaded with a never-expected pixel tag on its shutter. The real punch might come from Xenon and LED Flash.

Now wait—this is all part of a clone news from China. However, hold on– what if the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 actually comes in this avatar? Want to make a note? I do! The Galaxy Note 3 might even don this look.… Read the rest

Companion For PDA Or Working Mate– Choose Between The HTC One And Samsung Galaxy Note 2

For smartphone enthusiasts like me, each smartphone release is a way to stem out greed and temptation with a buy. This time, I have seen too much in a month with two darlings– Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and HTC One. In fact, so much is my addiction to both that I can barely weigh them against each other to arrive at a fave pick!

However, here is a clever way to compare both my buys with a simple outline of the hot and not features on each. Perhaps this could let you make your mind up on choosing either of the two.

HTC One is on a high with its top-class unibody design, a Qualcomm processor that boosts faster than lightning and a display that mesmerizes me to the core! He look is a winner with HTC One. The white and black color scheme is a classic combo that can never fade, even with time. Given that the body comes made from aluminum, the phone is sexy and sleek. Carrying it hardly makes me feel I am even having One in hand. The chassis has no flex at all. The 4.7-inch Super LCD3 display is gorgeous and the 1920×1080-pixel resolution at 468 pixels-per-inch tag makes it a beauty. The Qualcomm 600 Snapdragon S4 quad-core chip processor comes clubbed with dual-channel 2GB RAM and the Adreno 320 graphics-processing unit.

Now when I take my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in hand, I cannot skip noticing the stylus and the generous 5.5-inch display. Against the awesome HTC’s Super LCD3 display, the Super AMOLED might appear a wee bit weak. However, the 1280×720 pixel resolution at 267ppi tries to make a worthy mark. The processor is of Exynos 4412 1.6GHz quad-core chip variant and is as powerful as the Snapdragon. The only complaint I have here is that Samsung tends to become hot all too soon. Here, HTC One hits a sixer!

However, in terms of storage, my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 stands over HTC One with 16, 32 and 64 GB options in tow. The shutter earns Samsung a point with 8-megapixel, LED flash and 1080p video against HTC One’s 4-megapixel, LED flash, 1080p video and optical stabilization.  In terms of the OS, Samsung is slightly on the ups with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean against HTC’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

However, the HTC Sense 5 UI is more responsive than Samsung’s TouchWiz. If you are out for a buy to flaunt, Samsung would be a champ but of you truly desire a smartphone that works as much as it speaks, the HTC One is a choice to make with eyes wide shut!

Apple iPhone 6 Vs Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Phablets In The Bottle Ready To Pop-Out?

Yes, Samsung finally took the wraps off its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4. And we’ve already heard about how Apple’s busy trying to get the iPhone 5S out soon to be a temporary contender to the Galaxy S4. But we’re really eager to know more about what Apple will bring out next, the iPhone 6, as we see that to be the real competition to the Samsung flagship. But then again, since Samsung is yet to unveil its Galaxy Note 3, will the real competition be between the iPhone 6 and the Galaxy Note 3?

Apple iPhone 6: In all likelihood, given the amount of flak Apple received for its 4-inch screen iPhone 5, we can expect the iPhone 6 to come with a bigger screen. But according to the latest rumors, Apple will probably use a Sharp IGZO screen on the phone as well, which would allow the company to make the iPhone 6 thinner and more power efficient. We can also expect more storage, maybe even 128 GB in the new iPhone 6. Hopefully, in terms of connectivity, we will finally get to see the iPhone with NFC – a sore point that has been lacking in the Apple smartphone. Given that all the new smartphones have quad-core processors and Samsung’s got octo-core processors in its devices, hopefully the iPhone 6 will also receive a significantly powerful processor. Another big change we can expect is that the iPhone 6 could come with a completely redesigned iOS 7 interface – because not much has changed in the OS since it first released and we think users could be getting bored.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Let’s start with the latest rumor we’ve heard – Samsung is expected to put in a flexible and unbreakable screen on the upcoming Galaxy Note 3. The company had showcased these screens during CES 2013, leading to speculation that the Galaxy S4 could have such a screen. But now that the Galaxy S4 is out, we think maybe Samsung’s saving this one for its Galaxy Note 3 instead. This means that this device could be a lot thinner and lighter. We’ve heard that it could have a screen between 5.9 and 6.3 inches wide and could be powered by a Samsung Exynos 5 octo-core processor and 4 GB of RAM. We’re also hoping to see Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie on the device as well as a 16 MP rear camera.… Read the rest
