Wake Up Retina-Packed iPad 5 & iPad Mini 2: To Put Google Nexus 7 2 to Sleep?

Previous rumors indicating towards Apple not including a Retina Display in its upcoming device can go rest in grave as considering the latest reports, the Cupertino Calif.-based firm has settled to offer its forthcoming 9.7-inch iPad 5 and 7.9-inch iPad Mini 2 with Retina Display, all set to launch coming October.

Apple is reported to trade in the required number of display panels with high resolution from LG Display in the following months. These Retina-made display panels will meet the firm’s requirement to ship around three million units of iPad Mini 2 in October this year.

iPads made with Retina Display are expected to beat previous sales record of Apple’s devices. LG Display, we hear has boosted the production process of panels to meet Apple’s original release date for the iPad Mini.

However, certain reports also indicate towards Sharp and Samsung also working on to produce some parts for the iPad Mine 2, following the reports of production problems at AU Optronics.

Apple also plans to unveil the iPad 5 this October, producing around six million devices for the last three months of 2013. Lighter and slimmer, the iPad 5 is expected to hold a 9.7-inch screen with Apple’s latest iOS 7.… Read the rest

Apple iPad Mini Vs Google Nexus 7 2: It All Boils Down to Retina Display

Amid expectations all build up for Apple’s upcoming iPad Mini to hold a better display, certain rumors indicate that Google will launch its forthcoming Nexus 7 2 with Retina Display.

Speculations indicate the screen resolution of Google Nexus 7 2 to be 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. The iPad Mini will roll out sans the Retina Display with a resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels. Clearly the display of Nexus 7 2 is going to be brighter and better.

However, Google is expected to unveil the device with a price tag in between $249 to $299 for the basic Wi-Fi variant, whereas Apple’s non-Retina iPad mini might roll out with a $329 price tag. The costing also makes the former a better choice.

Nevertheless, the lighter and thinner Apple’s device will come packed with a faster A6 processor and many iOS 6 applications. Google’s device will house a Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon 600 chip.

Running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software, some of the expected specifications in Google Nexus 7 2 might include wireless charging, an LTE option and a 5 megapixel camera at the rear.

However, we hear Apple is working on a Retina version iPad Mini, which the firm will roll out in 2014.

As for now, we feel that the inclusion of Retina Display will surely push the Nexus 7 2 into a better league as compared to non-retina iPad Mini.

Would The Apple iPad Mini 2 Do for You or Should You Go for Apple The iPad 5?

We’re expecting Apple to unveil its next generation iPad and iPad Mini soon, and while we eagerly wait to know more about these two gorgeous gadgets, we wondered which of these would make most sense for you. The iPad 5 is expected to have a 9.7-inch display while the iPad Mini 2 would have a 7.9-inch screen – both of them are expected to come with Apple’s famous Retina Display technology.

While the iPad has been the reigning leader of tablets, looks like the iPad Mini 2 could overthrow its big brother and become more popular in 2013. Analysts have predicted that Apple’s range of tablets could see a similar trend like in the case of the iPod where the Nano and Mini went on to become more popular than the original Classic.

One of the biggest drawbacks of the iPad Mini launched last year was its low-res screen without Retina Display, which Apple looks all set to fix in this year’s version of the miniature tablet. So if it’s an iPad with portability you’re looking for, you’re indeed better off investing  in the iPad Mini 2 over the iPad 5. After all, in terms of processing power, they’ll both be quite similarly matched too.

Apple To Bring Back The Charm In Apple iPad 5, Google Nexus 5 To Up The Ante

As with every next generation iPad, the iPad 5 is touted to not just be faster but also possibly lighter and thinner. But how do you think Apple’s going to achieve this feat? The iPad 5 could possibly feature a smaller LED backlight which could make its screen far more energy efficient and of course, thinner and lighter.

While Apple’s Retina Display technology gave the iPads amazing resolution, it did end up making them quite bulky. But for the iPad 5, Apple could possibly use Sharp’s IGZO screen which could not only give it a great resolution and better clarity, but the overall package sleeker.

Analysts are also expecting Apple to feature a film-based touch sensor to improve the overall user experience on the iPad 5. No wonder why Apple’s managed to stay on top of the tablet list even in the face of so much competition.… Read the rest

iPad 5 Vs iPad Mini 2: The New Kids On Apple’s Block, Which Of Them Would Hit The Bull’s Eye?

Everyone’s eagerly waiting for Apple to bring out its next generation iPad and even the iPad Mini. The latter did quite well in the market, even though there were a lot of people dissatisfied with what Apple had to offer in the mini-tablet section. Hopefully, the company will manage to work out all the kinks in the 2nd generation iPad Mini. But what about the iPad 5? Sure, it will be lighter, faster, and more brilliant, but what else would Apple have to offer?

Display: One of the biggest disappointments with the iPad Mini was its rather low resolution screen of 1024X768 pixels. But, if rumors are to be believed, in the next version, this gap between the iPad and iPad Mini will be bridged with the iPad Mini 2 also getting a Retina Display upgrade, bumping up its resolution all the way to 2048X1536 pixels.

Tech specs: iPad 5 is rumored to be smaller than iPad 4, while keeping the screen size same. Also, the device could be powered by Apple’s A7 processor. The iPad Mini 2 might not get thinner, especially if it’s getting the Retina Display screen, but we wonder if we could get to see more storage space in it.

Pricing: We can expect the iPad 5 to be priced between $399 and $499 when it releases, while the iPad Mini 2 could get more expensive or be priced at the same range than its predecessor due to the Retina Display. At $329, it isn’t exactly a whole lot more affordable than the iPad but we doubt if that would change.

Release date: While both these tablets were expected in March, Apple’s been busy with a lot of things, like designing the iOS 7. So yes, the soonest you can expect the iPad 5 and the iPad Mini 2 to launch would be by October this year.

Can We Expect An Apple iPad Mini 2 With Retina Display To Go Head On With Google Nexus 7?

You know, just the other day, we were talking about how Apple would have to increase its productions costs for making an iPad Mini with the Retina Display feature. And now, according to rumors, there could actually be such a tablet in the works. Leaked pictures of the next generation iPad Mini have surfaced on a Chinese forum, giving away this surprise.

The original iPad Mini drew a lot of flak for having a measly resolution of just 162 ppi, and especially when we’ve been hearing that its competitor Google Nexus 7 could receive an upgrade in the resolution, it makes sense that Apple would follow suit.

In the leaked images, we can see that the tablet has a thicker body than the current iPad Mini, which could be because of the Retina Display. With this feature, the resolution of the new iPad Mini could be bumped up to 324 ppi. But analysts have forecasted that the iPad Mini with the Retina Display could cost over 30 percent higher – so get set to dig deeper into your pockets for this one.

The images also show a blue colored cover for this new device. It could indicate that the iPad Mini would be available in multiple color options, like the iPod touch. So, get ready to color up your life too!… Read the rest
