Amazon.com has recently sent out e-invitations to media outlets, inviting them for a press conference slated September 6th. The event is scheduled to be held at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California. Plans however, remain a mystery.
There are speculations that maybe the 10-inch Kindle Fire is finally on its way.
Amazon did not reveal much about the meeting. The invitation, as shown in the picture looks pretty dry, so we are just hoping that whatever the Internet retailer giant has to announce, would be more interesting.
If rumors are to believe, maybe it’s the launch of front-lit Kindle eReader, which is a direct competition to Barnes & Noble’s Nook Simple Touch with Glowlight. Or maybe it’s the much-awaited 10-inch Kindle Fire, which is a larger tablet, coming in direct competition with Apple’s iPad.
Amazon is also likely to announce a restored 7-inch Kindle Fire, which is a revised version of the first version of the device that was launched in September 2011.
September seems to be a busy time for the announcements of innovative devices, with Apple, Nokia, and Motorola expected to announce their latest third generation smartphones the same month!
