In anticipation of garnering some holiday earnings, American broadband and telecommunications behemoth, Verizon is gearing up for the launch of Nokia Lumia 929 codenamed Icon this year having decided not to offer it for sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
The smaller avatar of the Nokia Lumia 1520, the Nokia Lumia 929 is expected to run on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM and an expandable 16GB internal storage. It also features a 5-inch 1080p capacitive touchscreen AMOLED display that is sure to provide fantastic visuals to its user. Photo enthusiasts will not be disappointed as this gizmo comes packed with a rear-facing 20MP PureView camera and another front-facing one that aids video chatting. The Nokia Lumia 929 is expected to ship with the Nokia Pro Cam camera app, Nokia Music, Here Drive + and 4G LTE support with Verizon’s data network.
The bigger and a lot more powerful version of the Nokia Lumia 928, the Nokia Lumia 929 has a similar body to that of its predecessor as per some leaked images but supposedly has a metal band wrapper around the edges giving it a sturdier look. What sets it apart from the Nokia Lumia 928 is the headphone jack that is placed at the top center and a micro USB charger at the bottom. The buttons are believed to be ceramic. The color options for this phone would be black and white. If reports are to be believed, Verizon is set to launch Nokia Lumia 929 codenamed Icon on December 20th and appears to have a clear winner on their hands in the form of a phone that is unbelievably fast thanks to the advanced Qualcomm processor inside.
