The much awaited Android 4.4.3 KitKat OS update is expected to happen in mid-April to ASUS Nexus 7, LG Nexus 5 and HTC One Google Play Edition. Android 4.4.2 KitKat version has several bug issues, most serious being the ‘mm-qcamera-daemon’.
This bug causes the camera feature to function in the background. This happens even if the user is not necessarily using the camera. This makes the battery drain out due to the alleged high usage of CPU.
A whole lot of other bugs are plaguing Android devices running on 4.4.2v KitKat like regularize camera focus, frequent connection drop while using mobile data, power manager display wake up lock, HDR mode issues, multiple Bluetooth problems, random reboot, incorrect data usage chart, Wi-Fi auto-connect malfunction, etc.
The new Android 4.4.3v Kitkat OS is designed to fix all bugs present in the 4.4.2v. However, it would be wrong to expect any new feature from this updated OS. Google would probably save any new feature for the next major Android version.
Rumor has it that the Nexus devices are likely to receive the update first. However, according to the ROM developed and an HTC insider, HTC One Google Play Edition is also in the list of firsts to receive the new version of Android KitKat.
