A leaked photo by Android Origin has showed that Google is all set to roll out Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS update for Nexus devices. The image showed Google Nexus 7 tablet featuring Android version 4.4.3.
It was earlier reported that Google is seriously working towards on the new Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS update, but the company has still not officially revealed that when it is going to release the new mobile software.
However, the updates are quite doubtful as there is no official announcement or hint by the company. Google has not released any data regarding the official change log if the update is already being pushed. The company would have at least updated the AOSP binaries page when a new update has been released.
Another suspicious area is the Build Number. The likely build number of the new update was scheduled to be KTU72B and KTU83 where KT stood for KitKat, U for Update, and the numbers meant the builds were made on the 72nd day of 2014 and the 83rd day of 2014. However, the leaked photo is showing the build number as KMU89C.
The photo circulated online on April 1, leading to high possibility that it could be an April Fool’s Day prank. Thus, Android users should not take this news too excitedly as nothing has been confirmed by Google as of now.
Meanwhile, it has been reported by Android Police that Android 4.4.3 is scheduled to be a massive bug fix update, and users must not expect the update to bring any cosmetic changes or new features.
Other bug fixes that are likely to be included in the Kitkat update are frequent data connection dropout fix, camera focus fix, power manager display wake lock fix, multiple Bluetooth fixes, random reboot fix, USB debugging security fix, Wi-Fi auto-connect fix, stuck in activation screen fix, missed call LED fix and VPN Fix.
