Looking forward to some of the new devices expected to roll out soon, let’s examine the specifications of the LG Optimus G2, comparing it to see whether it will surpass the Apple iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S5. Considering the rumors and speculations, read on for a general idea of what the devices might look like.
Anticipated to be launched in October, the LG Optimus G2 could run Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie in beta form. With a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, the LG G2 might hold a 5.2-inch Full HD display with either 2 or 3GB of RAM. This smartphone might come out with internal storage options of 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. What makes the device surpass other is the slimmest HD panel that it holds.
For the iPhone 6, many reports indicate that the device might roll out with exciting upgrades in 2014. However, rumors hint at the inclusion of a fingerprint scanner in the device, packed with a thin and strong glass. Since the device is expected next year, Apple might run iOS 8 by that time.
Moving on to the Samsung Galaxy S5, the phone’s also slated for next year launch. Some reports indicate that we might see a carbon fiber Galaxy S5 instead of a plastic device. This smartphone might be waterproof and could include liquid cooling, fingerprint detection, dual SIM cards and dual SD slots.
However, all three are expected to be tough competitors for each other.

Except for the 4.2.2 Jelly Bean software in LG’s device, all features and specifications are same as found in the Nexus 5. However, the G2 might get the 4.3 update soon after release.
The latest going on in the rumor mill hints that both LG and Google have worked in the same production facilities, operated by the former.
However, we might see few twists in the G2 including the Zero Gap tech, which showed less bezel on the device’s border. Also the volume button is fit at the backside of the G2, which is the only noticeable difference.

Samsung’s taking on Apple in innovation and looks like there’s no stopping the Korean tech major. But there’s also a possibility that its rival LG could beat it at its own game by introducing the Optimus G2 with a similar technology screen.
The competition between LG and Samsung is all set to heat up on the heels of this rumor, especially after the launch of the respective Optimus G Pro and Galaxy S4 flagship devices. Of course, like we said above, at this stage, it’s all rumors and we don’t really know if it would be feasible for either of the companies to implement the unbreakable screen technology.
But in the case of Samsung, it could end up making a few units of the Galaxy Note 3 with this screen like in the case of the Exynos 5 powered Galaxy S4. However, a huge drawback we’re anticipating in such a device is the lack of full HD resolution. The LG Optimus G2 is expected to release sometime during Q3 of 2013, wonder if Samsung will bring out the Galaxy Note 3 before that.… Read the rest
