LG has officially said that the company is in the process of releasing the LTE version of its LG G Pad 8.0 tablet, the LG G Pad 8.0 LTE. The device is scheduled to be launched in Europe in the upcoming week, while it will be released in other countries over the next few weeks.
The LG G Pad 8.0 LTE will be equipped with an 8 inch IPS WXGA display having a pixel resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The tablet will also be having a quad core 1.2GHz processor along with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of built in storage. The tablet will also provide a microSD card slot for expansion as well as will sport a 4,200 mAh battery and dual cameras.
The tablet will also be featuring a 1.3 megapixel front camera for video calls while there will be a 5 megapixel camera for photos and video on the back. In terms of connectivity, it will also offer WiFi and 4G LTE.
Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, has been quoted saying that “With the G Pad 8.0 LTE, LG is setting a higher standard for connectivity in emerging 4G markets. Today’s on-the-go consumers demand speed and convenience wherever they are, at any time. If a 4G LTE infrastructure is in place, we want LG products to be first to take advantage of the fast network.”
The LG G Pad 8.0 LTE will be available in the black, white, luminous blue and luminous orange color options.
