Lenovo To Soon Launch 10-inch ThinkPad Windows Tablet

Lenovo is scheduled to soon launch a new 10-inch ThinkPad Windows tablet commercially with Intel inside. Meanwhile, the Australian shop of the company has already listed the tablet ahead of its official debut.Lenovo IdeaTab A3000

Lenovo Australia had released a full-fledged product page describing its specifications, features and other details. However, the page was quickly removed by the company.

Meanwhile, the tablet’s name and a brief description are still visible even though the full-fledged product page is no longer available. Lenovo has been quoted saying that “Its ThinkPad 10 is a business tablet with full PC capabilities.”

The 10-inch tablet is scheduled to be available with a full HD display, and would be powered by an Intel Atom Bay Trail processor under the hood, a hefty 4GB of RAM, and up to 128 GB of internal storage capacity expandable via microSD.

Meanwhile, the tablet would also be having several other exciting features, including an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front facing shooter, a multi-touch display with optional support for pressure-sensitive digital pens and a 33Whr battery.

The 10-inch ThinkPad Windows Tablet would provide lots of connectivity options to its users, including Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, NFC and optional LTE.

Although the Australian subsidiary of Lenovo has listed the tablet online, the company has still not released any official announcement regarding its upcoming ThinkPad 10.

Additionally, it has also been reported by Liliputing that the soon-to-be-launched Lenovo ThinkPad 10 would be having a range of business-friendly features, such as a fingerprint reader, a smart card reader, as well as the latest Windows 8.1 software on board.

Lenovo will provide the options of a basic dock, a keyboard dock or a keyboard case to its customers. The company has still not disclosed any launch date or pricing details, but reports claim that the tablet will not come cheap.

Lenovo Unveils a Thinner and Better Thinkpad

 

It seems Lenovo has learnt the pulse of the market. The second-largest PC manufacturer after Hewlett-Packard Co. introduced a new and better version of its Thinkpad on Wednesday in Beijing. The latest offering from Lenovo will appeal to the ones fond of Smartphones and Tablets. Called ThinkPad X1 Carbon, this sleek and savvy notebook will hit the shelves next month.

The latest ThinkPad has third-generation wireless connectivity and other features inspired by tablets and smartphones, said ThinkPad business unit vice president Dilip Bhatia. He said that was in response to demands by customers who want a tablet’s convenience but need a notebook’s wider range of functions.

“They want faster. They want thinner,” Bhatia said.

The new version sports a 14-inch (35.5 centimeter) screen, and the laptop weight have been reduced by three pounds from 3.7 pounds to 1.7 kilograms Bhatia. He said it the think pad will have a eight hour battery life and the notebook will start in less than 20 seconds.

The ThinkPad unit launched the first tablet version of its computer last year.

When asked by Washington Post how well the notebook prove amidst the growing tablet market Bhatia said, “There will still be strong demand for notebooks to perform more complex functions in business, education and government. Forecasts call for global notebook sales to reach 230 million this year, versus 110 million for tablets.”… Read the rest
