The Truth About iPhone 6 : Would it Ambush Samsung Galaxy S5 With These Expectations?

The telecom market is abuzz with reports around the release date of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 6. With their imminent release dates being announced last week, iPhone lovers are now looking forward to the best features offered by these smart and innovative handheld devices.

Some of the most stirring features of these iPhones are:

Screen size: Users can now look forward to an enhancement in the size of the screen. Apple has always refrained from increasing the size of its smart phone screen—stating that the same would affect the applications available for their devices. This time they are going to take the leap. However, it could still be a far cry from the large screen sizes being designed on competitor phones.

Processor: A better and faster processing speed is in the offing. If rumors are true, then the new handsets will boast of an A7 chip processor—enabling smoother and faster functions.

iOS 7: The iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 are expected to arrive with the latest iOS features. This will make these Apple products all the more desirable.

Camera: A more enhanced camera software is a much required feature and users feel that it is a better option than increasing the range of pixels present in the camera.

Battery life: The new products are expected to come with the same battery life as their predecessors.

With these features in place, the iPhone 5s and iPhone6 are already winners– in their own way.

Going forward: Will Apple make way for a cost effective iPhone 6

Apple being a leading manufacturer of classy smartphones, iPads and many more gadgets, always remains under the limelight. Speculations are high until the day of time about what and when regarding the next. Now, the rumors are again soaring for the looks of the next iPhone.

The new iPhone 5S with plastic backs, gold trim and a possible redesign cannot be denied as Apple is expected to follow the success of colorful iPod for its cheaper versions too. The leaked pictures online also confirm the reports of curved plastic back with gold trimmed buttons for the iPhone mini.

While most signs indicate about a release of cheaper colorful iPhone, there are hopes that Apple might come out with a bigger phablet-sized iPhone 6 along with the cheap iPhone 5s. Apple is quite optimistic on minimizing fragmentation, and a knock at screen size a single year after the introduction of the 4-inch iPhone 5 just seems too messy.

However, after putting all speculations together, it can be concluded that Apple would end up releasing two iPhones this year-one iPhone 6 with a nice array of specs and the other to be sold at minimal prices to hold the market. . Apple recently did away with the generational split for the iPod Touch line, and it wouldn’t be unexpected to see Cupertino drop the iPhone 5 and 4S completely going forward to make the way for the above mentioned two.

Is Nexus 5 Set for September Release? Will It Be In Race With iPhone 6 and Galaxy Note 3?

Add another name to the list of September releases: Nexus 5, which certain reports suggest that Google will launch this year. However, the internet search giant remained lip tight at the Google 2013 I/O event and spilled no beans on the much-anticipated mobile operating system Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie and the next-gen Nexus 5 smartphone.

The predecessor to Nexus 5, the Nexus 4, which released last year in November, was made in collaboration with LG, only to stay ahead as one of the most popular and valuable Android smartphone till date.

Ever since the Nexus 4 was launched, there were supply issues surrounding the device. Low price, stylish look and innovative features made the Nexus 4 a success. The handset took quite a while to reach the shelves all around the globe. However, Google pushed its production process and therefore the device is now available on Google Play Stores in various markets. Starting May this year, the Nexus 4 is now officially available in India.

Considering other releases lined up for September, Apple is also likely to unveil the next-generation iPhone 6. September might also be the month for the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

In case Google also plans to disclose its Nexus 5 at about the same time, the search giant should be prepared for tough competition and must instill its next-gen device with top-end features to stay ahead in the race.

If you think the iPhone 5 and Galaxy Note 3 were big, Apple and Samsung might have even bigger plans for the future iPhone 6 and the Galaxy Note 3. And in that case, Google will have to pull out something even bigger and better than its competitors.

As such, no official announcement regarding the releases has been made by Google, Apple or Samsung. All we have to do is wait, until anything official is declared.

In case we see a September release for the Nexus 5, iPhone 6 or the Galaxy Note 3, which one will be your pick? Share your views with us.

Apple iPhone 6 Vs Samsung Galaxy S4: Would Apple Reclaim its Precious Market, This Time Round?

Amidst falling popularity and worrying concerns, Apple seems to be delaying the next-generation iPhone even more. We expected either an iPhone 5S or an iPhone 6 to be announced shortly, but according to the latest rumors, we’re just going to have to wait for a longer time.

In the meanwhile, however, Apple is expected to unveil a few models of the low-cost iPhone. We initially were hoping to see just one low-cost iPhone, but it’s possible that Apple is struggling to stay noticed in the competitive market and could go the Samsung way by expanding its range of offerings.

According to rumors, we could see Apple bringing out a lineup of cheaper iPhones along with the iPhone 5S sometime this year in a desperate bid to reclaim precious market share that it has been losing to its competitors, especially Samsung ( Samsung Galaxy s4 and s3). And for the iPhone 6, you’ll just have to wait till 2014.… Read the rest

HTC One Vs Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Vs Apple iPhone 6: Being Big and Bulky Matters?

In the tech world of today, big surely is in – look at how the screen size of the current range of smartphones seems to be growing. If it was the HTC One with its 4.7-inch screen, it got bigger with the Samsung Galaxy S4 with its 5-inch screen. And now, we hear that the iPhone 6 could be a phablet with a 5.5-inch screen.

But, as gorgeous as these big screens look, it’s getting harder to carry around these high end smartphones, especially in pockets. Which is why to go with the flow, fashion designers are now coming up with bigger pant pockets, especially for our large smartphones and phablets.

Major clothing companies like Dockers, Banana Republic, etc. have been experimenting with new pocket designs to accommodate these massive smartphones conveniently and practically. But even as they come up with pockets that can fit devices like the HTC One and Galaxy S4, the problem’s only going to get worse.

In the works is the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which is expected to have a 6-inch screen. And if you thought that would be hard to pocket, think about how you’d carry around Huawei’s upcoming device with its 6.5-inch display! And it’s not like these massive gadgets can be clipped to the belt anymore. Wonder if we’re going to see lots of innovation in the fashion industry due to our bulging technologies.… Read the rest

Apple in Mood To Break The Dry Spell: Putting A Curved Battery Into the iPhone 6?

We know Apple’s got to pull it together and fast if it wants to avoid being eliminated from the smartphone race. So we’re not surprised when we come across extreme rumors surrounding the upcoming iPhone 6 – it’s the only way Apple can pull its fans back towards it. But the latest sounds way too exciting and radical.

The most recent patent filed by Apple is apparently for a curved battery for use in mobile devices. Now we’re not sure what kind of a mobile device would require a curved battery – possibly the iWatch? Or is it for an extremely futuristically designed iPhone 6? Of course, there was a rumor doing the rounds about a month ago about how Apple was going to put in a curved glass display on its upcoming iPhone.

Apple is known to file numerous patents, many of them that haven’t yet been implemented in its devices, so we don’t really know what to expect from this latest patent filed. But, we can’t help but be curious to see what Apple’s working on.… Read the rest

iPhone 5S to Come in Different Color Options; iPhone 6 Could be a Phablet: Analyst

When it comes to Apple, mum’s the word until the company decides to announce what it’s working on. Till date, we have no clue if the successor to the iPhone 5 will be called the iPhone 5S or if it will be the iPhone 6. Many analysts expect Apple to announce the iPhone 5S this year as an intermediary offering until they can bring out a spectacularly redesigned iPhone 6 next year.

Peter Misek, an analyst at Jeffries, feels that the iPhone 6 could be a phablet-like device with a large screen that would be showcased sometime in June 2014. Apple drew considerable criticism for its 4-inch iPhone 5 at a time when its competitors had much bigger screen sizes. So we might expect Apple to correct that and come with a possible 5-inch screen in the iPhone 6.

In March 2013, we found out that Sharp was working on a new technology that could makes its screens extremely sensitive and responsive to touch. Sharp happens to be one of Apple’s suppliers and while its new technology could work on screens up to 60 inches, it’s possible that Sharp could replicate this in a smaller, possibly 5-inch, screen as well.

Misek also feels that 2013 could see Apple launching the iPhone 5S, with no significant change in the form factor. However, there could be a faster processor, new colorful casing options, and even a better camera in the iPhone 5S.… Read the rest
