Apple Inc. is known for its innovation. Presently, it is working on a patent that was filed back in 2012 with the USPTO, about developing super-resolution images with the use of an ‘image capture device’. Rumor has it that all of this is being done to present the upcoming iPhone 6 with a superb camera. However, Apple did not mention anything about the feature in relation to its next-generation phone.
Apple explained, “A system and method for creating a super-resolution image using an image capturing device. In one embodiment, an electronic image sensor captures a reference optical sample through an optical path. Thereafter, an optical image stabilization (OIS) processor to adjusts the optical path to the electronic image sensor by a known amount,” in its patent application.
The company further added, “A second optical sample is then captured along the adjusted optical path, such that the second optical sample is offset from the first optical sample by no more than a sub-pixel offset. The OIS processor may reiterate this process to capture a plurality of optical samples at a plurality of offsets. The optical samples may be combined to create a super-resolution image.” It was quite an elaborate explanation, which made it easier to understand what exactly Apple is planning to do.
A particular rumor suggests that iPhone 6 may have EIS rather than OIS but here is no confirmation yet. Apple did not also confirm about launching iPhone 6 with two big screen models, one with 5.5-inch screen and another with 4.7-inch screen, in 2014. Though there is hardly any chance that the company would declare any hardware in the WWDC conference but in all probability it would launch iPhone in September-October of 2014 as strong rumor suggests.
People are going to witness and experience several things in Apple’s WWDC 2014. Though people are not expecting Apple to launch iPhone 6 during this conference but they are sure that iOS 8 would be brought to life and revealed in WWDC 2014.
Thus, it would not be wrong to say that iPhone 6 shall run on iOS 8. Apart from this, iPhone is expected to have at least eight upgraded features, which are as follows:
iOS 8 will make the phone run faster. Apple would pack iPhone 6 with some amazing hardware as always and to make them run smoothly iOS 8 would be optimized accordingly.
iPhone would have integrated apps feature where the apps are supposed to communicate with one another. For instance, when you click a picture, Twitter or Facebook would suggest you to upload the same.
The smartphone would have option of automatic message deletion.
Phone communications would happen via LTE network. However, telecom companies would have to provide the infrastructure to let customer enjoy the feature.
People would enjoy CarPlay in an easier way than before with iPhone 6 as the pairing would be done using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi unlike using a lightning cable wire.
Iphone 6 is expected to have better and fresher Voice Memos interface.
You can expect a separate iTunes Radio from iPhone 6, which will let you play music from various radio shows online.
iPhone 6 users would enjoy simplified notifications alerts, both in features and looks.
The upcoming Apple smartphone is expected to have several other features than the ones mentioned above. However, these are supposed to be the confirmed features of iPhone 6.
Comparisons are bound to be happen when you are talking about iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S5 concurrently. These are flagship products of two tech giants, Apple and Samsung respectively, which are hitting the market soon. While Samsung Galaxy S5 phones are available for pre-order, you need to wait a little bit longer to own an iPhone 6.
Both the devices are hot topic of discussions among tech enthusiasts and prospective customers. It is surely going to be a tough choice as far as buyers are concerned. Among all the features, it seems people are more eager to know about the screen size and display of these phones. This may be due to the fact that iPhone 6 is rumored to have a larger screen size of 4.7 inches or 5.5 inches with higher display resolution. Previously many people opted for other phones since the screen size of iPhone was comparatively smaller. However, this time people may have a change of mind due to the alleged screen size of iPhone 6.
iPhone 6 is surely a tough competition for Samsung Galaxy S5 but the latter is not much bothered since its features also have the ability to win hearts. As far as screen size and display are concerned, it is going to have 5.1 inch screen with Full HD Super AMOLED. Other features include a rear camera of 16 and a front camera of 2 MP, 2GB RAM, 16/32GB Internal Memory + expandable upto 128 GB, microSD slot. The phone will run on the latest version of Android OS, 4.4.2 (KitKat).
So, which one is better? It is actually not possible to give a verdict and announce a winner based on speculated features of iPhone 6. The real fight will begin as soon as iPhone 6 is announced. However, it would not be wrong to say that it is worth waiting for if Apple delivers a phone with a bigger and better display.
The forthcoming flagship smart phone model from Google, named as Nexus 6 is deemed to be the biggest rival for the Apple’s much awaited iPhone 6 as both are in the same market segment. Both of these devices are expected to hit the stands around the same time later this year as announced by the manufacturers.
The release date of Google’s Nexus 6has not been officially revealed till date, but according to the available reports, it is believed that this smartphone will be unveiled in the last quarter of this year. Google is most likely to release its much-awaited flagship smartphone Nexus 6 as early as October 2014, as hinted by Google Android Chief Sundar Pichai.
Pichai released a statement in February during the MWC 2014 that the company is unlikely to launch the next Nexus smartphone until the second half of the year, clearing speculations that the smartphone may be released as early as June or July 2014.
Android watchers have guessed six confirmed features of the smartphone based on leaks and clues offered by its immediate predecessor, the Nexus 5.
LG is the default manufacturer of the Nexus 6 as the company has delivered exceptional results with the Nexus 4 and 5. However, the passage is not that easy as Lenovo and Motorola are also in the race. Lenovo-Motorola are still to present a base model for the next Nexus, while LG has showed two possible templates – the LG G Pro 2 and LG G3.
The Google Nexus 6 is expected to be available in a standard – thin, light and bezel-free front panel. Also, the device would have a 2K screen resolution along with Quad HD display rendering.
The flagship smartphone would be powered by the 64-bit octa-core processor with the Snapdragon 805 or 810. The device would also feature the latest Adreno graphic engine and 4GB RAM.
The Google Nexus 6 is expected to be having up to 16MP rear camera along with other advanced features, including optical image stabilization and bigger and faster lens.
The Nexus 6 is likely to feature either Android 4.5 or 5.0 labeled with Lollipop, Lion Bar or Key Lime Pie.
The upcoming device is expected to be available at an attractive pricing, and industry experts believe that the company would not price the smartphone above USD400 for the 16GB model that will have LTE access.
The biggest news yet is that the HTC One M8 has made quite an impression on the smartphone market and there seems to be a large number of buyers who would choose the HTC One over the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the LG G3.
The Samsung S5 will offer users a 5.1 inch display and will be powered by a 2.5 GHz Snap Dragon 801 processor. It will also feature a 16 MP camera, a 2 GB RAM, a 2 MP camera in front and ill be available in two variants of 16 GB and 32 GB. The device will have the Android 4.4.2 OS and will be similar to previous design with the exceptions of a finger print scanner.
The HTC One M8 will have rear facing twin cameras while the front camera will be 5 MP, the size and weight of the new model has increased tremendously and will have 16 GB of internal storage that can be expanded.
The LG G3 is expected to be the third contender that will be launched in June, there is very little data available on what to expect in terms of specifications but it might sport a 5.5 inch display with QHD resolution, octa core processor … Read the rest
Though Apple has stopped the production of iPhone 5, but the gadget is still running as the device is still being used by millions of users. And now, the topic of iPhone 6 still remains a mystery. There are several rumours that needs to be examined, questioned and tested. However, take a look at the prospective buyer’s guide of iPhone 6
An info that constantly remains in rumour is the release date of iPhone6. There are two separate release dates for iPhone 6. Apple is famous for releasing its flagship gadgets in summer or fall. While iPhone 5 was released in September, 2012, and iPhone 4 was released in June, 2010, the iPhone 6 is likely to release somewhere like this
While the iPhone 5 design remains the best in the market till date with just 7.6mm thinness, iPhone 6 will be a step ahead than this. The display concept of iPhone 6 is larger than before. It will maintain the anodised aluminium material and feature Sapphire material on the display. It will be sleeker than the previous models. The iPhone models will be in three modules- small, medium and large
The iPhone 5 brought 4-inch Retina Display with 16: 9 ratio, iPhone 6 will come with better resolution and bigger Sapphire display. The display size could range from 4.5inches to 5inch. A final report states that iPhone 6 comes with 4.7 inch screen with Corning glass.
As far as iPhone 6 release date is concerned, it is not yet clear whether the Cupertino-based tech giant will bring in a bigger screen for its upcoming flagship phone. Tim Cook has not given any assurance that the iPhone 6 would be sporting a screen size that is now common with most phablets. Cook hinted this in an interview and opined that before they launch a bigger display iPhone, they want to get reliable technology right.
However, Cook added that there are going to be several new and exciting categories and that their engineers have their hands full with some amazing stuff. Cook also clarified that Apple does not completely rule out the possibility that the next iPhone will have a larger screen, possible a 5-inch screen. There is also a possibility that Apple might be pushing for a key makeover for the present iPhone model. It might look to enhance the component capabilities and might enlarge the screen size but not phenomenally. There may be a faint screen bump up but there are chances that the upcoming iPhone 6 pictured previously in various reports and speculations, will not be the same on its release.
