In the wake of Apple releasing either its flagship iPhone 7 or its bumped up handsets Apple iPhone 6S Plus this year, Chinese police have pounced upon a fake iPhone producer in the country. According to local reports, the company based in Beijing has been engaged in production of fake varieties of 40,000+ iPhones that account for $19.6 million worth.
What The Crackdown Revealed
The crackdown revealed presence of over a million parts of fake iPhones as well as six assembly lines. The police now arrested nine people connected to this trade so far. Ever since fake or first copy iPhones were being seen in USA, police had been on guard and investigations were started in May this year.
As of now, it has been revealed that the Beijing manufacturer purchased main boards of older iPhones from several countries and also brought fake iPhone parts with logos from Shenzhen.

With the latest software update on HTC handsets, users will now be able to avail the faster Android 5.1 lollipop version. HTC M9 users using AT&T network can easily get the update, while people on the T-mobile network will have to wait for a week.
This news was tweeted by the Senior VP (Product Management) of HTC, meant for HTC M9 users. However, the time of the update was not specified. The latest update will give users plethora of features, including an enhanced camera.
The change on the mind of people
As AT&T subscribers are getting the update real fast, users of T-mobile are planning to switch their network so that they do not have to wait for the update accompanying the HTC M9.
A spokesperson from T-Mobile has stated that it is a damage control situation for the company as consumers are planning to switch over to AT&T. However, many users are wary because switching to AT&T could decrease performance of the phone.
Chinese smartphone manufacturer BBL has announced the launch of Vivo V1 Max and Vivo V1 smartphones in India. These smartphones will be prices between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 20,000. They are set to arrive in the market before the end of July.
Vivo V1 Max and Vivo V1 at a glance
The V1 Max is bigger than the Vivo V1, both of which should be priced within a budget in India. There are no details of their global release available yet. Vivo Smartphones India CEO Alex Feng has said that the new ‘V’ series phones are expected to offer unbeatable price as well as proposition in the mid-range category. However, he refrained from disclosing the price. The CEO also stated about the cutting-edge technologies used in the phone along with excellent multimedia features.
Though there was no mention of the price, it is expected to be priced below Rs.15,000. Some reports also suggest the Vivo V1 hardware specifications without any official confirmation. According to these reports, the handset features a 5-inch 720p display, 5MP front camera, 13MP rear camera, 16GB internal storage, 2GB RAM and 2 300 mAh battery.

A Microsoft mobile subsidiary, Nokia India Sales Pvt. Ltd. finally launched the Lumia 540-Dual SIM on Wednesday. This variant had been long awaited and is also the sixth Lumia phone to be released in the Indian market in the past half year or so, according to T.S. Sridhar, the Director of the southern zone of Nokia India.
At the event for briefing, Sridhar also commented that the Lumia handsets accounted for massive business across retail segments in India. Currently Nokia India has 8,872 stores and 119 service centers in the country.
This does not take into account the 441 Microsoft Priority Re-sellers that had formerly been Nokia official outlets. The exclusive bit about these stores is the ‘Touch and Feel’ on offer for customers. South India stores.
The Director also added, “We have always seen Hyderabad as a retail experience provider and that is why 13 of these priority stores are located in Hyderabad and 16 more across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.” He added how smartphones between the Rs. 4,000 and Rs. 12,000 price range sold the highest.
