As the holidays approach the biggest question arises as to what should be that grand pick? Is it a Samsung Tab or a Google Nexus? Let us have a quick glance at the specifications of these brilliant devices offered by the two tech giants.
Google Nexus 10 2: The market is witnesses a never-ending wait towards the release of the second generation Google Nexus 10. It is supposed to sport a 10.1 inches screen, a superb Plane-to-Line Switching TFT touch-screen. It will have an upgraded Gorilla Glass coating. It will have a pixel density of 299 ppi offering 16 million colors.
Google will most probably use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset and a 2.3GHz quad core Krait 400 processor for its Nexus 10 2. Moreover it will have 330 GPU graphics. Google Nexus 10 2 is expected to have a 3GB RAM and will mostly feature Android 4.4 Kitkat.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1: Being lightweight this tablet brings grand success to Samsung. With a 64GB of storage expansion it definitely allows you to store anything and everything. It works on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Samsung’s TouchWiz Ul skin. The useful feature named Smart Stay switches the tablet to sleep when the user is looking away from it.
The notification panel can be customized depending on your usage pattern. The device has a TFT touchscreen, 16 million colors with 1280×800 pixels and 149 ppi pixel density.
The existing Google Nexus 10 is considered to have better resolution than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. Hence Google’s Nexus 10 2 is expected to be an improvement over the Nexus 10, which in turn will prove to be a better buy than Samsung Tab 3 10.1. But for a mid-range table the latter offers good qualities.
With the release of the latest Android 4.4 KitKat version on cards, there are reports that suggest that this update will be heavily oriented towards connected TV.
Scaling up smart TV will be on the agenda of Google Inc. Now, Android tablets and smartphones can easily be connected to larger screen devices. Google’s TV project experiment has been cited on news reports since the past few months. The news is hardly surprising, considering the fact that there were outlines of Google intending to ditch the name Google TV and change that to Android TV. Perhaps, the success of Chromecast telly venture is the catalyst for this latest Android update.
