If rumors are to be believed, then search giant Google plans to showcase the 2nd generation Nexus 10 2, which would be competing with Apple’s iPad. However, there are some mixed reactions around the Nexus 10 2.
Some media reports claimed that the V510 from LG could possibly be the second generation Nexus 10. However, this was the LG G Pad, 8.3-inch slate by the Korean handset manufacturer. There are strong rumors that the search giant might decide to not launch the Nexus 10 2 in the market and might even announce retirement for the Nexus line up.
Meanwhile, another report claims that the Nexus 6 will be launched on 17 May this year. As per the report, LG will be gearing up for a neck to neck battle with its arch nemesis Samsung. Samsung will be launching the Galaxy S5 flagship phone at around the same time so as to gain a competitive edge in the fast growing smartphone segment.
The Lenovo-Motorola deal which was inked only a few days back clearly suggests that LG might no longer be involved with the upcoming Nexus smartphone. Google sold Motorola unit to Lenovo through a 2.9 billion dollar agreement. Once all the formalities are sorted out, Lenovo will emerge as the third biggest smartphone vendor in the market. … Read the rest

Expected release date and price
Going by the past, Google is likely to launch the Nexus 10 2 without much fanfare by merely displaying it on the Play Store for online ordering. However, given that Barcelona is hosting the Mobile World Congress in February 2014, it is possible that Google may use the event as a reference point for the device’s launch. With a penchant for not sticking to a rigid pricing policy as that of Apple’s and the Nexus jumping in price by £40 between generations, it is expected that the Nexus 10 2 is likely to be priced at around £349. … Read the rest

Experts that Google would be announcing this 10-inch tablet sometime around Christmas this year but so far, there is no official word about the Google Nexus 10 2. What is even more interesting is that Google has pulled down the Nexus 10 webpage from their India-based app store, Play Store India on 2nd December earlier this month. This further cements the growing rumors that the next generation Google Nexus 10 2 could be announced much sooner than it is expected. In the past few days, a new stream of rumors have been surfacing online about the Nexus 10 2, to be assembled by Korean handset maker Samsung.
Tablet Magazine, a popular online news portal, states that the hardware for this next-generation device could be announced officially during or prior to the CES 2014. Additionally, it is also claimed in the reports that Samsung would be manufacturing the Nexus 10 2. Google Nexus 10 2, which was slated for a Black Friday release has not seen the light of the day yet. Does this mean that this new gadget from the Search Engine giant might arrive in 2014 with the iPad Air and iPad Mini 2? Let’s take a look at some of the anticipated Google Nexus 10 2 features.
Rumors of launch of Google Nexus 10 2 came about after the launch of the new Google Nexus 5 from the company in October 2013. The Google Nexus 10 also uses a Tegra 4 CPU, which offers one of the most admirable gaming experiences. It is also likely to come with a 10 inch screen, much like its predecessor. However, this time round, the Google Nexus 10 2 will come in 2 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB versions.
The Google Nexus 10 2 is likely going to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. One wonders if this one is going to come with the Android Kitkat update as well, which has not been welcomed by Google Nexus 4 users. Industry experts also expect that the Google Nexus 10 2 will come with a separate Adreno 330 GPU. This should give the device better processing features.
Such interesting features of the Google Nexus 10 2 are sure to give competition to the iPAd Air and iPad Mini 2. The launch of iPhone 5 c has put Apple into a tough spot because this new phone has not been greeted well. Apple would have to buck up if they have to meet the expectations of users against the new Google tablet.
