Manufactured with almost similar names, Padfone 2 and FonePad are two phablets by Asus that have marked the entry of the Taiwanese firm into the niche world of Android.

A blend of smartphone and tablet, touted as phablets, let us compare the specifications and features of both the devices.

Starting with the 4.7-inch Asus Padfone 2, the device is slim, sitting at 10.4mm body. With an easy interface and unusual round grove pattern at the rear, the Padfone 2 is comfy to hold and use. The smartphone runs quad-core Qualcomm CPU and Adreno 320 GPU combo with 2GB of RAM. Interestingly this device can also roll out into a slot with a 10.1-inch tablet adaptor.
