Samsung will officially announce the new Galaxy and ATIV-branded devices at its upcoming event in London on June 20.
Along with the smartphones, the company will also launch the Galaxy Tab 3 range of tablets, including Galaxy Tab 3.8.0 at the event. Furthermore new devices like the new 10.1-inch and 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3 tablets, a Galaxy NX Camera, and Windows ATIV smartphones, tablets, and laptops are also likely to be announced.
Several images and specs of the 8-inch tablet have been posted by Techtastic. With both, a white and black case option, the table will have 1280 x 800 display, powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Samsung TouchWiz Nature UX. It will include 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, WiFi 802.11 a/b/c/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE, GPS, and a 4450 mAh battery.
Though the tablet looks similar to the current Galaxy Note 8.0, the S-Pen or other higher-end specs found in the Note will be absent. Due to some reasons Samsung will be using a white home button on the black and white models. This tablet is likely to be carried in the US as there is 4G LTE in the cellular model.
