With more variants of Xperia, Sony seems to be planning the brand with tablets and phablets alike. The latest addition to its family, Honami or Xperia i1 has been doing rounds since April. Some pictures of the same also went online which revealed a 20MP camera attached to the device.
And now, with some more leaks it has been confirmed that Xperia i1 will be soon joining the Xperia clique. While no news about any specs, the camera feature is quite evident in the pictures and will certainly place it apart from the Xperia ZU. The different camera lens on the back of the device is expected to be 20MP lens to give an extra edge to Sony till the rumored 41Mp Nokia Lumia 1020 arrives.
As stated earlier Xperia i1 would sport a 5-inch, 1080p display, 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor, and a Walkman audio chip. It will also use Android 4.2.2 jelly Bean, a battery between 2,700-3,000mAh with 2GB RAM. Again, the device will continue its legacy of being water and dust-proof to remain in the Xperia clan.
Since an event on July 4 has been planned by Sony in France, it is highly expected that Xperia i1 would steal the show and the Xperia family would be including a new member soon.
