Sony Launches Andriod 4.1 Jelly Bean Update for Xperia U Smartphone

Sony has rolled out Andriod 4.1 Jelly Bean update for its Xperia U smartphone. The update has come into motion just one month after releasing the update for Android 4.0 ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’.

The low-priced Xperia U was originally brought out with ‘Gingerbread’ in July. It sports a an 854×480 3.5in display, a five megapixel camera with LED flash, 6GB of storage, and integral Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

The outdated software of the phone affected its sales as Google was updating more and more softwares that ran only on Andriod 4.0 or later.

You can upgrade your Xperia U smartphone for free . Just connect your smartphone to Sony’s desktop software rather than using the over-the-air update system built into Android itself.
