Sony has rolled out Andriod 4.1 Jelly Bean update for its Xperia U smartphone. The update has come into motion just one month after releasing the update for Android 4.0 ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’.

The low-priced Xperia U was originally brought out with ‘Gingerbread’ in July. It sports a an 854×480 3.5in display, a five megapixel camera with LED flash, 6GB of storage, and integral Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

The outdated software of the phone affected its sales as Google was updating more and more softwares that ran only on Andriod 4.0 or later.
