Media companies have received statement from a Skype spokesperson saying, “Skype takes the user experience very seriously, particularly when it comes to security.” In this bid, they are trying to mitigate effects of the “malicious activity” and working quickly to prevent any harm that is being caused to its users.
Skype has also asked users to upgrade to the latest version of Skype and applying updated security features on computers to ensure that your hardware is not affected. They have also asked users not to follow surreptitious or suspecting links on your “contacts”.
