For those who use Facebook to share and explore, you will now be able to share files on Facebook Groups using cloud-based services from Dropbox. Chris Varenhorst of Dropbox announced in his blog posting that the social networking giant has integrated with file storage company Dropbox to provide file-sharing services.
The blog post from Varenhorst said, “Today we’re psyched to announce that you can share stuff from Dropbox right inside Facebook Groups! Now you can share notes with your study group, add the latest game schedule to your basketball team’s group, or post a birthday video to your family’s group at lightning speed from wherever you are — just as long as you have them saved in Dropbox.”
While you will still be able to upload files from your computer into groups, Facebook will now also allow you to upload files that you have already stored in the cloud via Dropbox.
Facebook had launched its own Groups file-sharing feature earlier this year. So this move comes as a surprise.
