One of the leading smartphone manufacturers, Samsung is scheduled to hold an event on September 3, 2014. The company has already invited the media with the headline “Ready? Note the date!” The event will happen at almost the same time when US-based tech giant Apple is rumored to launch its much awaited flagship smartphone, iPhone 6.
There have been several rumors that Samsung is likely to issue an update to the Galaxy Note in early September, with the company announced the Galaxy Note 3 at around the same time in 2013.
Apple will most probably announce its 5.5-inch iPhone at its event scheduled to be conducted on September 9, 2014. A new Note device is most likely to be commercially available at around the same time with Apple’s new phablet.
Reports released earlier have hinted that the new Galaxy Note 4 will be equipped with a screen size of 5.7 inches and higher resolution as compared to the 2013 model. It would also sport the fingerprint sensor as well as water resistance features, similar to that of the company’s Galaxy S5.
The Samsung event is scheduled to be held at 9am ET in New York, Berlin and Tokyo. The event can be streamed online on Samsung Mobile’s YouTube channel.
