He said during the MWC 2014 in February that company is unlikely to launch the next Nexus smartphone until the second half of the year, clearing speculations that the smartphone may be released as early as June or July 2014.

On the other hand, Samsung is riding high on the success of Galaxy S4 and is on the verge of launching its successor Galaxy S5. The already launched Samsung Galaxy S4 is equipped with lots of interesting and exciting features that it became the choice of masses within the very short span of time.

The Google Nexus 6 is likely to have three different front panels – standard-thin, light and bezel-free. Also, 2K screen resolution and Quad HD display rendering is also expected in the device. Nexus 6 would run on the 64-bit octa-core processor with the Snapdragon 805 or 810. The device would also feature the latest Adreno graphic engine and 4GB RAM. Meanwhile, Galaxy S4 has 5.1 inch full HD Super AMOLED screen along with 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor and 2GB RAM.

The Google Nexus 6 is expected to be having up to 16MP rear camera along with other advanced features, including optical image stabilization and bigger and faster lens. The Galaxy S4 is equipped with a 13 megapixel rear-mounted camera along with 1080p full HD video recording and an integrated flash.

The Google Nexus 6 is expected to be available at an attractive pricing, and industry experts believe that the company would not price the smartphone above USD400 for the 16GB model that will have LTE access. Meanwhile, the entry-level 16GB Samsung Galaxy S4 SIM-free is available at a price of nearly USD550.
