Samsung Galaxy S4 vs Google Nexus 5: The Brilliant Shiny Android 4.3 to Take Over The Pricey Samsung

The Samsung Galaxy S4, successor to the immensely successful Galaxy S3 has been doing very well. But there is new competition on the horizon with the Google Nexus 5. With the many option available in the market it’s clear that one must be smart when buying smartphones.

The Nexus 5 is rumoured to be released in this October. Both the Galaxy S4 and the Nexus 5 boast brilliant features making a choice difficult. Both have 5 inch displays. While the Galaxy S4 has a Quad core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 and quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 the Nexus 5 will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz paired with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. While the Galaxy S4 was released with the Android 4.2.2 platform it has the new 4.3 update available on OTA.

The Nexus 5 will probably be release with the latest 4.3 Android or maybe even the 5.0 Key Lime Pie! The Nexus 5 will probably come with internal storage of 16, 32 and 64GBs – the Galaxy S4 has the same and expandable memory up to 64 GBs. The Galaxy S4 has a 13 MP rear camera – Nexus 5 is rumoured to have the same. While the Galaxy S4 is quite pricey, the Nexus 5 is probably going to the same way as the previous model and be very competitively priced.
It’s good to try and be smart while buying smartphones – except that the choices keep getting harder!
