The Android 4.4 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy S4 has been rolled out on some US based carriers, while the update on Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be initially available only with two US carriers.
At the beginning of this year, the Korean handset maker had begun rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Galaxy Note 3. But after that, the update was not to be seen making its way towards the Galaxy Note 3. The good news is that both US Cellular and Sprint have finally started rolling out the updated. The KitKat update from Sprint started arriving only a few days after the 4.4 Android KitKat update for the Galaxy S4 rolled out.
The Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Sprint Galaxy Note 3 rolls out in waves which implies that it will be taking some more time for the update to be delivered to all of the Galaxy Note 3 users using Now Network. Usually, the update push would take somewhere around 10 days before it has been completed so users might have to just wait till next week to see their device blessed with the major update.
The Korean phone maker has not yet put up the change log for any of the two updates though it is expected that the updates would be similar to those that were launched for the Sprint Galaxy S4 and the Sprint Galaxy Note 3. This implies that they will be led by the 4.4 Android KitKat update features from Samsung and Google.
