Primarily it was believed that both the devices will get an Android 4.2 Jelly Bean 4.2 update. Leaks prove that both of them are still on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and sooner they will be jumping on the Google’s software next version.
Reason for the delay
S3 hasn’t seen any major update since it has rolled out in September last year, though it did receive a Premium Suit updation but for Note 2 users the condition is even worse. The device was launched in September with Android Jell Bean 4.1, but since then it didn’t receive an incremental premium updation to keep the users happy.
Release of the updated Android 4.3
Though the update of the Android system was bound to be released in June or August but it got delayed. Rumour say that the major reason of the delay is that Samsung is planning to provide a 4.3 Android update to both the devices and it will be coming in sometime very soon.
