After having spent much time in the press, through unofficial sources’ discussions of course, finally Samsung has confirmed that it will be launching its newest tablet, the Galaxy Note 8.0, on April 11, 2013. We’ve known that this is Samsung’s counter to the popular iPad Mini, but if you’ve been dying to get your hands on it, wait till you hear the price.
You might just change your mind when you check its price tag – the 16 GB version of the tablet with just WiFi connectivity will set you back by $399! But yes, if you dig a little deeper into the tech specs of the device, you can imagine why Samsung has priced it so steep.
Its quad-core 1.6 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM and 5 MP camera all make it quite the premium tablet. And then of course there’s the added bonus of the S Pen which lets you scribble notes into the Galaxy Note 8.0. While the device comes with a provision to expand storage using microSD cards, users will also get 50 GB of Dropbox space for two years free.
