Samsung is unveiling its new phablet, the Galaxy Note 3 this September at the IFA, Berlin. However, if rumors are to be believed, this new handset is not complemented with the exclusive fingerprint scanner. Yes, earlier it was claimed by the manufacturers that this new phone will have the features of a fingerprint scanner. However, things didn’t go in their favor as Samsung’s contract partner involved in the making of the sensor is unlikely to be able to produce the required quantity till September this year. Hence Samsung has cancelled its plans to introduce this new feature.
This Samsung loss is Apple’s gain because the fingerprint scanner will now be exclusively launched by Apple with its soon-to-be released iPhone 5S. This new feature will give enough reasons to iPhone 5 users to upgrade their phone to the 5S.
In spite of the disappearance of the fingerprint scanner feature, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is indeed a worthy phone with many other powerful attributes. Features such as the 5.7 inch screen, company’s newly introduced 3 GB RAM, Qualcomm 2.5 Ghz Snapdragon 800 processor and newest 4.3 Jelly Bean Android OS are enough to woo the Samsung customers.
With this latest phablet, the Samsung is going to give tough competition to its rival contenders like HTC and Sony.
